use the original Toyota ATF fluid...chaguanas auto is one of the places that carries this...i also recommend them to do the actual job...u need 10 quarts (if i remember correctly) 2 to flush and 8 to fill

Man, call Toyota Trinidad - they will tell you what they use.

I don't know about 10 quarts... I know it to take 5 quarts.

Toyota recommenda the Toyota ATF IV fluid. It is about $60.00 outside and $75.00 in Toyota. The mercron III is under-rated for the NZE corolla and it uses exactly four quarts.

yep.....4-5 quarts for change...and maybe 2-4 quarts extra if you want to flush.

10 quarts seems like a lot to me...but then Oultaw changed his fluid there so only he can tell for sure.

As you guys know the more reputable RoRo dealers will change engine oil, filters, plugs, brakes pads etc etc and also the ATF

When i checked me service maintenance checkbook, it has that the ATF was changed with Castrol ..... seeing now that the better and recommend ATF to use is the Toyota OEM, do i immediately change my ATF or can i safely wait for my next 5K tune-up and then change it. :? :? :?:

Also can x_Outlaw and Johnny gave the telephone numbers of those places you guys both your Toyota Spec ATF ?

I only have used the Toyota ATF 4 fluid in the tranny of the Luxel. Only changed it once though...

Purchased it for $55-60 per quart.

We have conflicting reports now.

So which is it? ..... Toyota it seems to be recommending both their OEM Oil, as well as, Castrol :? :? :?
