WTK... When to change oil viscosity

Postby Nav_1981 » April 1st, 2010, 6:42 am

Hey Tuners,

I have an altis 03-04, currently doing 90, 000km, I have been using castrol full synthetic 10W-30 since i got the vehicle, with oil change every 10,000k and have no complaints...
I was wondering if anyone knows when should i change the oil viscosity or should I just continue using the 10W-30.

Thanks :?:

the recommended oil viscosity is 10W30 so you have no reason to change, 90,000K is baby milage in a Toyota, I have 300,000K milage vehicles using 10W30, your focus should be the up coming 100,000K maintenance incl belts,

eliteauto, thanks man, but i changed the belt and disk pads at 60,000k

anyway i was thinking about changing the following at the 100,000K:

1) Spark plugs
2) Radiator coolant
3) Disk pads
4) Oil and filter change
5) Air filter

what's yr take on these should i go original or replacements????
