did u check the usual suspects? ISCV, TPS?

i cud get it to idle good but it runs like crap when i do, all i do is retard my distributor all and turn the screw on my airflow to slack.. but today i advance the distributor to half and the screw to about half and the car running gr8 but idles at 1500 rpm and 1000 with the air con on,, i don;;t know if the hoses are hooked up wrong if u cud give me a run down of how exactly it should be that wud be appreciated\
