Rpm guage for lancer gl 1998?

Postby shabbycart » October 22nd, 2023, 7:31 pm

Hi guys
As this 1.3 gl model has no rpm guage I'd really like to get one fitted.
What is the rpm range of this engine?

What kind of guage would I need and how to fit it?

Many thanks

A simple aftermarket tach with a negative signal from the coil would work.
Range is approx to 6200 rpm. The 4G13 isn't a high reving engine.

Thanks - I'll have a look around to see what is available.
Just going by ear not knowing the engine that well yet is hard to tell if I'm redlining it or not.

If automatic, once in D you would never redline the engine.
