My car regularly doesn't start when in Park I have to put it in Neutral to start this doesn't happen all the time but it has begun to get more frequent. And as well I find that there is a delay when I changing gears like from Park to Drive or Drive to Reverse. Not sure what's the problem my mechanic told me to change the entire shifter. Is that a correct assessment and if so where can I can a complete shifter?

i Need a bit of advice with respect to a cs2-a lancer... bought if foreign used...... has the CVT transmission...
car is doing about 98,000 KM already had it prob a year and a half.... with maintenance of the CVT should i replace the tranny oil??
Maintenance of any transmission, or mechanical part therof that has oil, the fluid should be changed.![]()
This should not be the first time you are changing that fluid. If it is, be glad nothing happened.
Anyhow, the correct fluid to buy is anyone/brand that is graded ATF SP III. Anything else and it will damage the transmission.
The Mitsubishi SP III transmision fluid itself is sold in three colours. Black, blue and white. Within recent times, I have only been seeing the black....

But if you also getting a shim when you mash the brake pedal you might also have a warped rotor
ZeroOne wrote:The clicking is the sound of the compressor tripping on, this also causes a slight increase in rpm hence the little move forward.
