That one... yes... pretty difficult. Unless you might be able to mod the ones coming off the CK lancers.....

the c62 lancer rear disks are a bit hard to get but you have to keep looking, i got mine for $500 at ramkisoons in dabadie, junkie got his , not sure here but he got the 2 door setup {hand brake cables too short for} sedan models..there are out there but the hand brake cables are a problem to get.....

A few weeks ago a friend said he had the parts to convert my Libero from FWD to AWD. I dont know if it can work with the CK2. I'll try to find out.

it may
very few CS lancers came with rear disc setup
the CS front setup is different to the CK as the CS has a bigger rotor and caliper, not much bigger, but noticeably bigger
I will presume from this that teh rear setup may be diffferent
you will have to get the right proportioning valve etc to get the proper brake bias
otherwise, you gonna have to learn how to handle oversteer in a front wheel drive

why exactly do you guys want rear disc brakes ? if its better braking u want why not upgrade your front pads t o EBC green stuff or some other comparible race brand .Your front brakes do most of the stopping for u anyway about 70% of total . it makes more sense to just upgrade ure front pads and its cheaper. The EBC pads will give u an improvement of about 40%and u can get them at Andys in Valpark

they cost about $700 for my mirage which is the same size as the galants, the evo cost about $1200.i have been using this brand for some years now they always last about 1 year, which includes slodex ,circuit, drags and everyday use.i have only machinned my rotors once in 6 years so i dont think they wear your rotors that much.another brand is Hawk , these are supposed to be made of some compound that doesnt wear ure rotors atall u can get these at teknet Gerard Maharaj
i think the price for a CK4 might be between $6-700 at Andys

What DEVI says is exactly correct! Listen to Uncle DEVI!...
I have rear disc on my lancer currently and the MOST improvement I got occured when i tried the EBC green stuff!...

But I would be modest and say I got 20% improvement.
Do that upgrade first if U want to get the most benefit for the least amount of money. U may have to machine your rotors if the runout is bad. The pads are costly though.....$730 for the front if U are getting them from Andy. I had to source my rear pads from Dadio.
U could go through the headache of getting rear disc later on. Find a complete spindle
with handbrake cables! You will be glad U did. But like DEVI said, U will only be improving on 30% of your braking, so the gains are marginal at best.
And if U really idle, like me, U could get S.S. braided lines and Slotted front rotors last. They inprove the brake peddal feel but I would say these improve the stock setup by 5%.
My 2 cents.

do they have EBC for cs3a 2002 lancer
and for how much

^^^ W2J advised me to use Hawk instead
he said that the EBC would be too harsh for the rotors
Rudman however has these on and has done no rotor work
but then again, he has performance rotors, not stock, in front that is

^^^Sweet performance rotors and brake pads... Rudman where u got the rotors? U have a CK right?
I wunt mind the rear disc added to the front performance rotor & pads

Yea fras, is a CK lancer I have. It ain't exactly a hardcore performance rotor, like Brembo, Prodrive or Willwood. Its an Arospeed with slots and cross drills that I picked up from Maska. I wanted to see how much of an improvment the slots made over solid rotors.
But I suppose the rotor is a bit harder than stock, it still standing up to the EBC's after a year of use.
But I would really like to get my hands on some hawk pads next. I find that the EBC green stuff does need some heating up to bite good, even though they say it has a good cold bite.
