CK Lancer tranny problem... Neutral blinking

Hey Fellas...
i have ck lancer with 4G13 carby... problem is that in forward gears (D or L,2,3) the N also keeps blinking... whereas no blinking in R...
the problem started right after i got some electricals fixed... my automatic switch for radiator fan was not working and fan was direct... i got that fixed and a few wires straightened up...
forward drive is in single gear... i think it is thrid because of sluggish pick and it goes till 80 km/h at 3000 RPM... reverse is normal except there is an abnormal jerk while shifting to normal...
checked all connectors, tranny fluid every thing seems fine....
please help wat can be the issue...
if it is due to fluid overheating how can it be fixed by changing to a thicker fluid...

if it is overheating, FIX IT properly

changing to a thicker fluid is not a solution, just a bit of covering up of the problem creating more problems

i did check the thread... mine is blinking like once per second...

as in the topic twice per second is for overheating... is once per second due to eletricals??
issue is we cannot find any problem in it... all connectors are fine ... level is working fine as well...

u need to unplug the battery to reset tranny ecu see if it works i saw it on my lancer last month after playing around in the electrix

battery unplugged and plugged couple of times... no improvement

u tried running a diagnostic on d car to check the electricals

try it if u haven't done so

if teh ecu reset doesn't work, recheck all sensors, assuming that the fluid is good.

btw, it's only the -ve battery pole than has to be disconnected for ~10 min

if all this doesn't work, check a mech

not sure how well the reset will be as the carb engines will only have a tranny ecu

similarly for teh scan that Pretty suggested

not sure about the carb engines but more than likely it sounds like d tranny ecu....

i had a similar prob and water somehow got into my tranny ecu and i had to get it changed....but my engine is fuel injected

so maybe something got screwed up in yuh electrical from what u said u got fixed....

as i say best way to find out what's working and what's not...diagnostic....safe way to go imo

that is wat we are also suspecting that some relay or fuse gone bad as the electrician might have got wrong wire connected while checking...

today going to check with another elect.... but he s a busy man... lets see how much time he can spare... hopefully ll find the prob today....

ok, well
i recently had this problem

went for a diagnostic scan
and a sensor on my transmission had to change,

do u feel the car any different when the ligth come son?

anyway, i say go for the diagnostic
chances are ull fiond the problem ther

Finally thanks God prob got resolved... as Rush mention there was some sensor/switch gone bad... replaced it and car is fine now...
ma mechanic was telling me that the part gone bad is used to change gears based on the pressure of fluid... it had some loose grips ....
so prob was not necassery due to electrical work done...
however there was also a fuse gone bad in transmission ECU that mey be due to electronics played with...
