Any oil recommendations for the 2013 1.6L 4A92?

I saw a person earlier in the thread saying 10w30 and the manual saying 0w20
Also looking for brand recommendations

well today I had the cy2 serviced after 162K.
Replaced plugs (first time in 9 yrs ) and air filter with the original bosch which was bought from sookai diesel in chagunas, service the injectors and throttle body. Parts came up to around $400.00 ie plugs and filter , and labor was $ 500.00.
The mechanic told me I should replace it at 100K or 5 yrs since it was difficult to remove.
Next in the coming month of may is oil and filter change, coolant and tranny fluid change.

Going to be selling my set very soon since I’ll be selling the gt. It’s in mint condition because I always had a set of transparent mats over them so they were never stepped on or got any dirt on them. It’s the ralliart mats specifically for right hand drive vehicles. Very hard and expensive to source....

Will try to post some pics when I get a chance.

Anyone with a none working 3rd brake light on the trunk. It's a cold solder issue.
You have to remove the reflector with a sharp thin blade, cut off the tabs and re-solder.

Anyone using 17's on theirs? What tyre size?
I'm thinking of using 225/50/17 on some evolution 7 rims. Most shops recommended 225/45/17 but the 50 series closer to stock diameter.

I got 225/50/17 in the back and 225/45/17 in the front. Reason it's so is because the Tyre shop said the 50 series in front will touch when locking the steering. One of these days I'll switch the back and front and try it

Being using 225/50/ 17 on some Tezzen rims for 9 years on my cy.
No issue with rubbing of tyres on full steering lock.

I'll be using a set of stock evo 7 rims. What's the offset of the rims you have?

Guys
Would installing 18" wheels on a CY2A require a camber kit?
I know the CYs dont have adjustable camber, and was thinking that since the CY4A comes with 18s, installing 18s on a CY2A shouldn't require a kit.
Or is the suspension geometry different between the CY2A and CY4A?

Technically should be as simple as that. Saw 4g9? interchange as well as 4g1? also.

Guys,

My lancer keys fell, both the main and spare and they cracked. Now they are both shaking and i dont think they would hold out much longer, this is my first experience with a key that is so "soft", the falls weren't that extreme.

Anyone had experience in getting it replace, do i have to go back to the dealer, or can i order an replacement body and just switch it out?

Thanks in advance.

If it's just the shell that's broken but otherwise it's working, then yes you can order it from online and swap the guts. You could probably order a silicone protective case cover one time.

Yeah its just the shell, been doing some searches online and I am seeing some cases that come with a key, which i assume is a simple matter of getting it cut at Rudds etc.

How do i know whether the key would work etc., is there something that is specific to our region in relation to the blade, some of the comments mentioned that persons were unable to get the key cut hence my hesitation.

Let me show you guys the options that I am getting;

Link 1

Link 2-
https://www.banggood.com/3-Button-Remot ... rehouse=CN

Link 3- As i trust Amazon the most, do you guys think this would work? like a aftermarket/retrofit solution
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CZ ... AEG1&psc=1

Most of the options come up as Outlander/Eclipse, so i am royally confused at this stage.

You can use the the 4A92(1.6L)head and block in place of the 4A91(1.5L) and you don’t need to change anything else. But you cannot use a 4A91 in place of the 4A92. The 4A91 lacks a bracket for the power steering pump.

Not possible to just use back your original keys instead of cutting the blanks? It should be a simple swap of the key and guts to the new shell.

Nice now is to decide what colour to paint the rims.
