calling all mitsu gurus.....need help with a 4g93 gdi

ok fellas hear the dilemma.....

got a 4g93gdi in a sharkmouth galant, its burning oil (abt a quart a week) and fouling plugs to the point of misfiring(also in abt a week).
I get a puff of smoke on starting and a steady stream once the engine is warm, more if I rev. the smoke is bluish white and smells like gas(idk really). oh and it vibrates like an old tractor once warm too, especially in drive.

on other forums ive seen possible causes ranging from bad piston rings to a leaky head gasket and even wrong plugs.

so far I have changed piston rings, pcv valve, cleaned injectors, used the manufacturer specified plugs, tried several fuel treatments and oil treatments but the problem persists. can anyone pinpoint what may be the problem????

The fouling plugs is the cam gasket.

The stuttering can be either the iacv and/or the fuel pump/regulator.

Do a compression test to check the engine, I had an engine with one bad cylinder but still ran good. I suspect your engine may need a rebuild.

oh forgot to mention, did a compression test abt 3 weeks ago, all cylinders reading above 175......

is there a way to check if its really the cam gasket without taking apart the engine??
oil isn't actually leaking down to the plugs or anywhere near the coil packs, just on the part that sits inside the cylinder

Not really, sometimes the problem can be a sensor or a small thing, best diagnose the problem properly and work from there.
