legacy spec b goes for around 180-190 depending on year, features etc
automatic 260bhp
manual 280bhp
same engine as the GT model, with the differences being 18"rims,aero front bumper and closer gear ratios.

Spec B is based on a slightly lowered Bilstein suspension (hence the 'b'), so overall its a handling package.
Pretty much like how you have 'Cross sport' foresters, same engine, but add lower suspension, some aero, and tiptronic

I've got a local 2005 PBU series Legacy with 40 000km for sale.

It's a 2.0L (not a spec B - non turbo and very economical)
40 000km
Factory Maintained - Still under N&M Warranty
AWD
Cruise control
Tiptronic
Regal Blue...
Excellent condition

Reason for sale: My wife wants a SUV.

Price $135 000
777-3077

The legacy is a wonderful car.

In my tuning history, I find them more fun to drive harder and corner than the STI's and WRX's.

The room, the power, the class, it does it ll for you.

I find the auto more pleasurable and the traction on them seems better in my opinion. This is so, since the auto is like DCCD, since it has an active diff, eletronically control, unlike the standard manuals.

Again, you will like it.

On the power size, the turbo behaves like in the forester, which means spools very early, but although it runs out, the car is no less slow :)

The guys over on subiecrew.com has some and there works very well. The owners are proud of them. Not only that, there are also ECU tuned for fuel safety and slight extra power.

If you have the money, go for it. I wish you all the best.

Post some pics when you do get it.

If I were getting a 2.0 non turbo legacy. Does anyone think it would still be worthwhile... I mean for getting to work and doing the day to day routines ???

- It's a lot more economical than their turbo counterparts...(actually I was surprised by that)

- Decent acceleration/speed.... you're driving at 150 km/h and feels like 100km/h

- And a Legacy is a head turner anywhere you go.

Can the Spec B be identified by specific numbers or letters on its chassis?

Not the real reason for the "B" nomenclature. And remember some of the GT Sedans also come with Bilstein suspension setups (non adj though). Yellow struts.

Hey Guys I Ordered a Subaru Legacy Wagon

Should be in the Country bu March... But I was wondering....

The Car is : 2004 SUBARU LEGACY WAGON 2.0 GT-TURBO BP5
2.0 PETROL FULLY LOADED WITH
AC PS PW PM CS RADIO, ALLOY RIMS, FOG LIGHTS, SPOILER,
DUAL-AIR BAG,
ABS, Tiptronic AT

What exactly is the BP5 stands for???
I highly Doubt It means SPEC B
& In all I get it for $140K on the road! You think thatz a bess deal?
I get a gun metalic colour though :( Prefer the Pearl White

Form the previous info posted I should be getting a DOHC twin cam, turbo. right? which supposed to be a good performance engine.

Another thing, does any one know anything about the ECU altering, to do stuff like get rid of the speed limiter & other performance upgrade.?

Will probably need to know also how the rass to hook up a deck casue I hear Subaru wiring & space behind the dash real crammed, casue i'm not keeping the stock deck!

^ BP5 is the chassis code.

it's not a Spec.B

$140K is a GOOD price

what you could do with it is have the ECU programmed so that the car could run on a lower octane fuel (to prevent knock)

as for installing the deck, you need a dash finisher kit (right hand drive).

Won't have to if he doesn't want to. Those cars run fine on 95 RON due to lower boost levels.

Shagga, you'll have to order that online or from a store such as sound and security etc. or even PM SR on the forum. it'll be different to the left hand drive ones though.
