If it is a turbocharged car, then it's probably a WRX Automatic. Not very common down here, but there are one or two that I've seen up close.

So wrx's can come automatic then....

But i was talking to someone selling a "wrx" ...person said it was tiptronic...but not turbocharged......

me -----> :?

explain please

I know for a face that the WRX wagon also comes in automatic with tiptronic and turbo charged.
There are SRX imprezas that are 2L and Non turbo

If someone say they have a WRX non turbo it could be a 2L NA or TS1.6 with the WRX emblem.

once it mark subaru an have a big wing

they tink it's a wrx or sti

there is no full auto turbo wrx, either tiptronic or manual

Wrong.

There are. WRX's (yes as in the 2.0L turbo) from the bugeye onewards were offered with a 4EAT automatic transmission, from the very first year of manufacture. The auto option was only removed from the late 06 models.

I know of at least two local ones....one 02 and one 04.

Easy way to check...the steering wheel will have the +/- shift buttons on it....there's one local blue one with a 5 speed manual conversion ......

SRX was only found in the GC8 models. Anything in the bugeye onwards which is 2.0L N/A will be an RS or a GX.

If someone say they have a WRX non turbo it could be a 2L NA or TS1.6 with the WRX emblem.

No. That's just a WRX wannabe. :lol: :lol: :lol:

good read.......a lot of great info......

the JDM agreement was only for advertising, not actually producing....cuz the R32 GTR produced 300hp stock, while the N1 GTR put out some more(all R32's came with a boost restriction)........while still being advertised as 276bhp......the V-SpecII Nur R34 put out 350bhp and was advertised as 276, as late as 2002.....many other manufacturers like subaru, mitsu and toyota advertise as 276 while their vehicles make more, in some cases way more.....i think the twin turbo supra had as much as 340.......all the way through :shock:
