^^ I saw alot of the australian legacy owners up in a furor about using it...apparently aftermarket options have been known to contribute towards spun bearings...typically the stock one is good for engine harmonics and proper engine balancing. So i'd say no.

Yeah I read something about that too. But those issues arose mostly out of the 2.5 motor, not so much the JDM 2.0 IIRC. not sure. Oh well, just looking for some minor upgrades that won't screw things up. Heard the LGTs don't like to be tampered with.. Heh

You can say for sure that the JDM motors weren't susceptible bcuz those cars went to the russian and japanese markets only; info is really tough to get out of there.

But saving 5lbs versus the supposedly inherent risk is enough to convince me lol plus autos are DBW so not sure if throttle response is improved in the LGT?? LGT is a forgiving car if u ask me; lots are compatible mods available.

I'd say good DP mated to a branded catback is a good start then tune for meth. I don't know what you have atm but it is usually the route most LGT owners start at.

Yup! Have all those already.. And several handling and suspension upgrades. Well the meth kit just lying down home waiting to be installed.. was just wondering what else would've been a relatively safe, power increase mod.
Regarding the 5lb difference though.. this is what PERRIN had for their LCP:
"A true weight savings that can be felt with every blip of the gas pedal, the PERRIN Performance Crank Pulley weighs just 1.2 lbs, which is 4-pounds lighter than the stock OEM crank pulley. This reduction in weight from the crank shaft is equal to removing more than 100 lbs of vehicle weight! Throttle response, horsepower and torque are all increased with this easy to install part"

The "100lbs difference" was the only reason I was considering it. Might look and ask around for more info wrt the JDM motors and still take the plunge depending on how much praise vs horror stories I hear.

Installed a 2lb Zerosports LWC awhile back...sure gets a zippy feeling or it could be mind tricks.
No issues 3 years now.

Read that it's a little more responsive. Moves through the revs quicker too!
Good to hear some positives. Yours is a 2.0 JDM or local 2.5?

Did 425hp on 23psi boost on pump gas.

Capable of passing 500hp on pump gas.

Did you max the stock map sensor @23 psi?
