blown ecu??

i trying to help out meh boss here ppl...
d man under some pain...
he said his battery died and a friend put in a battery for him in his van...
the man put the positive lead on the negative pole and vice verse for the negative lead...

now the van instrument panel lights will come on and engine will not tumble...

signs of blown ecu?

or alarm need to be reset?

van is brand new ford thunder 3.0 4x4 automatic
alarm came with van from company

When you turn the ignition on the on position, is the check engine light coming on together with the ignition lights, it should come on for a few seconds and then out, if that is happening then the ECU is good, if not, then check for a fuse link before the ECM and replace it, if not, then there has to have a few fuse link next to the battery, I am sure its a fuse link that need to replace.
