How many ford focus owners have instrument clusters that are malfunctioning? I have a 2008-11 model focus and the LCD display/ Odometer doesn't work, the gauges work, but the lcd part doesn't. Anyone know of anyone who can service these type of things to have the soldering checked. I'm convinced its just corrosion. Let me know. Anyone else?

I think the problem is with the LCD display itself. I've been trying for the past couple of months to source an LCD display for the instrument cluster but no luck. Were you ever able to resolve the issue?

Well an update, I managed to use the cluster with the blown display until today. All the lights on the cluster now continuously flicker, causing my radiator fan to come on, gears to toggle from 4th to 3rd or any other gear by itself. At Ford Trinidad, the cluster costs $25,000. I'm gonna get it through fordparkuk. I recently purchased a bonnet lock ,front grill, along with a few smaller parts. Cost and Shipping came up to $1000.00 TT.
fordpartsuk.com has my cluster for $522 pounds. That plus shipping will definitely set me back about $6300, I rather spend that than $25,000.

Okay so I managed to solve the problem myself. The cluster's LCD screen wasn't working. I managed to purchase a used cluster from Israel off of ebay.com for $75 dollars. Ford Trinidad said because the ebay cluster was used, they could not configure it to work with my car. Anyway long story short, I dismantled the both clusters, and switched out the lcd screens. It worked! If anyone has ever opened and repaired a smart phone, then they can do this. the lcd setup is very similar to a smart phone. In fact, its easier to do. Now my cluster is like new.

As for the flickering engine lights, and warning lights that I mentioned in my previous post; that turned out to be a loose plug that attaches to the back of the cluster itself.
I'm going to be searching online to see if the lcd display can be ordered separately.
Good Luck!
