Cool ... my car is 15 years old now so I should expect some issues here and there.

Update : The latch/catch (Part # A20368006847241) on my glove compartment broke... I checked a couple of place online and they want to sell me the entire glove box. Gonna check Sterling for the catch alone.

Got the catch alone from Sterling. Was a different colour so I bombed sprayed it, re-used the locked from the broken catch and re-installed.

All is well again.

Gents, new owner of a used 2009 W204 C180 (UK spec). Looking to get some nice upgrade parts for it. Thinking about changing out the Audio 20 head unit for an Android HU and upgrading the amp and speakers. Anyone has experience upgrading the Audio system in this model?

Also looking change out the headlights to OEM Xenon.. I have the HID kit on it now, but I want to get D1S or D2S (OEM Xenon bulbs) in the new headlights. Anyone can point me in the right direction? ))

Gonna get the rear disc pads, rotors and calipers changed out at the next service.

Using Bosch rotors, ate calipers and textar pads. Gonna replace my AC control panel as well as it sometimes stop working when in auto.

I use to think the same until I recently saw a w205 C200 with the panoramic sunroof, AMG body kit and rims.

W205 is a gift from God. W204 looks ancient nowadays.

My C200 is going 16 years old .... over the last 2 years I've done a lot of preventative maintenance work and for the most part, she works wonderfully:

Transmission - oil and seals.
Brakes - vacuum pump and line, rotors, calipers and disc pads
A/C - evaporator, compressor, cabin filter, expansion valve
Engine - pulley, mass air flow sensor

For my next service I'm looking at cooling and will change our the thermostat, hoses and coolant.

Any further suggestions welcome...

I have original benz...I think it's due for a change...my key fob stopped locking/unlocking the doors recently...I'm reading a weak Battery could be the culprit....the red light on the key blinks when pressed and I did the infrared test using my phones camera as well as changed the batteries....still doesn't work.

The key also starts the car just fine.

Any ideas?

Try another battery and see.

Or it could be the vacuum locks or pump are/is faulty.

Hopefully it's just the battery.

I currently have a rocket MF battery which I paid $1200 sometime ago.

I recently put a Bosch in a Honda Accord which costs $1180. When I asked how much for a Bosch was the Ole Merc, I was told $3031.

Next battery might be an EveryReady from PriceSmart, if not another Rocket

Thanks for the reply..I used the eveready and it worked surprisingly well but I suspect it doesn't really carry the full cracking amps that these cars require so that if it begins to go bad at any point one may experience some electrical probs...I could be wrong..but I had one over 2 years in my car and then started getting some small issues, changed battery and all was well.

I heard interstate brand supposed to be good but pricey too.

Gonna have to try another battery on mine again in true.
