how do you know you have/had/will ever contract covid? & if you never contract it, will you still need the vaccine to remain healthy?
And after you take the vaccine that will not prevent you from contracting it or spreading it to others, & you still have to continue wearing a mask, sanitizing etc, what is the real reason for taking the vaccine if all those other protocols were keeping you safe before the development of the vaccine?

If the airbags work then why the seatbelt?
If the seatbelt works then why the airbags?
Of both work then why the brakes?
You reach by your doctor as yet?aaron17 wrote:I have allergies.timelapse wrote:Aaron either has allergies or he's antivax trolling.Either way,go by your personal doctor and figure out whether it safe for you to get a covid vaccine and which type

So do I - I take antihistamines all the time
I'm also allergic to Ibuprofen
But I took the Sinopharm vaccine and had no allergic reactions
Odds of dying if infected with covid is 2% (in T&T it's 2.775%)
Odds of dying from a covid vaccine is 0.0018%
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/
That's more than 1000x more likely to die from Covid than from the vaccine. (1500x in T&T)

A vaccine isn't a treatment - it's to prevent you from being affected by the disease.
A vaccine stimulates a person's immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease.
You cannot take a vaccine to cure you if you are already affected. It is not a cure.
A treatment is the management and care of a patient to combat disease or disorder.
A treatment is given when you already have the disease.
Treatments are given to covid patients based on their symptoms.
For example - giving a Covid patient oxygen is a treatment for the symptom of having low blood/oxygen levels which is a symptom of Covid-19 and other SARS viruses (SARS is an abbreviation of Severe acute respiratory syndrome). Covid is medically known as SARS-CoV2

Why labelling it as vaccine then? They should call it something else.

I am not telling people to not take it, if you feel that it's the best choice for you, feel free, and I wish you the best of luck.
I however got no problem refusing it at least for a few years. By then, if there are any significant long term negative effects, they would be documented, and if not, I can then consider them safe enough for my liking. And I not about to tolerate anybody bringing me any ole talk about that I HAVE to take it, regardless of their opinions.
I, like everyone else, only have to do one thing in life, and that's to die at the end of it. Outside of that, everything else is optional, including this vaccine.

Yes you are right it is your choice however the more people think like that and don't take the vaccine then the longer we will stay in lockdowns and continue to put pressure on the health care system.88sins wrote:I am not telling people to not take it, if you feel that it's the best choice for you, feel free, and I wish you the best of luck.

Same mentality applies to computer viruses.Them anti vaxxers feel safe putting their flashdrive in Roytec and Sams computer lab, bring it home with no anti virus, because that infringe on their rights, never mind that there are plenty free options that work, then put it on mom and granny computer afterwards.Meanwhile, milworm.exe was a hoax in their minds.Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:88sins wrote:And when eventually the Lambda variant (which is showing strong indicators that it is resistant to most antibodies the human body generates after taking these currently available vaccines, thus even vaccinated people won't be any better off than the unvaccinated) inevitably reaches here, then what?
that is speculative
Also even if we get a strain that makes the current vaccines less effective it does not mean the older strains will disappear, so being vaccinated for the older strains and even somewhat for the newer strains is still better than being unvaccinated and susceptible to ALL of them.Yes you are right it is your choice however the more people think like that and don't take the vaccine then the longer we will stay in lockdowns and continue to put pressure on the health care system.88sins wrote:I am not telling people to not take it, if you feel that it's the best choice for you, feel free, and I wish you the best of luck.

Also while it is your choice to take or not take the vaccine, it is also the choice of businesses, malls, restaurants, cinemas, bars, gyms etc to require proof of vaccination to be able to access.
