Not sure if Jetpak trying to make back the money on the discounts they gave to customers or if it is customs. But I bought a mic stand I got on sale for $12usd and jetpak calculator estimated charges to be about $110TTD. It cleared last night and charges came up to$279 before the $100 discount given. Jetpak charges was $78, rest was duty, VAT and OPT

They didn't return anything of value.

“The bandits or whoever was in receipt of the packages, they were clever enough to send garbage. What they surrendered is not what was entirely stolen. When we checked we realised that those things were probably things stolen in another job, and now was a good time to get rid of it.”

Maharaj said the stolen goods included 12 televisions, iPads, car parts and clothes.

What was returned included Christmas decorations belonging to him, a playpen set and a printer, stationery and copybooks.

that extra USD $160 before duties and taxes and even shipping (plus more weight) doesn't make sense.

The Latin American TV models aren't going to be that different, nor is it like buying a computer monitor.
And the warranty can hardly be honored without a whole new set of extra shipping and costs again.

only on big tv's 75 inch and up you might save a few thousand

otherwise the most you saving is a 500 to 1000 and then warranty is a big issue

on monitors its a big difference though, no vat, opt or duty on monitors
just freight

hmm. thinking of getting that instead of a tv- but need 1 with audio that have both a vga and hdmi port- so i can connect to a laptop as well as a digicel play tv box. so i would switch from computer to cable tv.

most monitors come with multiple hdmi ports, so just plug in from the digicel box and switch away

getting one with vga gonna be a little harder. most switched over to hdmi, displayport and/or usb-c (thunderbolt).

Have some car clips that I occasionally buy 3 packs at a time. When shipping with websource, it was 0.5lbs because its very light. Shipped same 3 packs with jetpak. I'm seeing they have the weight as 2lbs... interested to see the charges whenever it reaches

So Jetpak processed another one of my packages in Miami. This exact thing usually weighs 3lbs when shipped with websource but they put it as 5lbs and also classed it as a Tool, even though it is LED Lights and I prealerted and uploaded my invoice. Both errors have the potential to affect customs charges in a negative way.
