Met Office: Low rainfall, high temps for next 15 days

he Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service is advising of a period of low rainfall amounts over the next couple weeks.

In an update the Met Office said:

"A wet day with rainfall amounts ranging between 10-15 mm are expected on the 16th of August while relatively wet days with rainfall amounts less than 5.0 mm are expected on all other days.

"The daily rainfall totals are forecast to range between 0.0 mm to 15.0 mm across different farmlands across the islands, especially along the eastern and western coastal areas of Trinidad, and Tobago. The fifteen-day rainfall totals ranging between 40.0 mm and 70.0 mm in Trinidad, and 50.0 mm in Tobago."

Additionally, regarding temperatures, the Met Office said some days may have real-feel temperatures as high as 48 degrees Celsius:

"The maximum temperatures are expected to become warm to hot, with daily temperatures ranging between 32°C to 34°C throughout the period. However, temperatures are expected to have a real-feel or feels-like between 32°C to 48°C on most days. The minimum temperatures will range between 25°C to 28°C during most nights/early mornings, dropping lower in rural areas and valleys.
