Chris is getting what he deserves
Again, I was watching a vlog where Chris was arrested in Kenya, Somalia, and Cuba. He's not new to this. He's true to this. He basically laughed at these countries after he was released.

In one African country he was throwing money to the people as if they were dogs . It was either Somalia or Nigeria. Whichever it was, that behavior is considered illegal. In the end though, whatever he did in Somalia and was arrested for it, while he was incarcerated, he placed those videos on private, not deleted.

After his release, he made a video saying, F....k Somalia. This dude has zero respect for people's suffering or below average lifestyle. He is doing the same with his videos from Trinidad.

Who is to say he won't release them and curse at Trinidad after his release. The disrespectful part of it is, those disrespectful videos were later monetized!!!!! My stomach is sick!!! He continues to exploit and become rich from his indecent behavior..I HOPE THAT EVERY CENT OF THE DIRTY MONEY HE MADE WILL BE USED UP TRYING TO FREE HIM. DISGUSTING HUMAN BEING

Usually sub-contracted to a foreign entity, in most cases not even trini. It's commonly done based on analytics on how much online "political traffic" exist at a current point in time and how much "presence" one's willing to pay for (2%, 5%, 30%). Could vary it based on how hot things get, in America it's usually bots, celebrities use it for new music\video releases etc. It's an entire industry, plenty variations to what's offered

That man sounded like a real dodo and many people wanted to know what the heck was going on.

His lawyer sounded like he was working with / for the TTPS.

With a charge of sedition, this case got bigger than attorney williams. Since ttps looking for more charges as they realize sedition would not stick, Chris had to step up his legal team which I am glad he did. Pamela Elder is an S.C in criminal law with over 30 years experience.

This afternoon Master Margaret Sookraj-Goswami granted bail to Hughes in the sum of TT$100,000, to be approved by the Registrar of the High Court or a cash alternative of TT$10,000.

The Master also ordered that his passport, that is currently in the possession of the Canadian High Commission, be handed over to the High Court Registrar by noon tomorrow.

Once he is able to access bail, Master Sookraj-Goswami directed that he reside at the home of attorney Criston J Williams in West Trinidad until he re-appears in court on Thursday morning at 9 a.m.

Hughes was taken into custody last Tuesday and charged on Wednesday evening under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act. The charge stemmed from a video he posted on YouTube after meeting with various alleged gang members in Trinidad, giving them a platform to showcase their firepower.

rapists and bandits can terrorize you mercilessly and torture you and then get bail to do it again once they eh murder someone

Justification of Mal application of the law is not excusable. Breaking the law to enforce the law never made sense.

How de f* does arresting someone and THEN try to figure out what crime they did is reasonable and acceptable?

Chris Must List granted permission to leave T&T

Canadian vlogger Christopher Chris Must List Hughes was granted permission to leave the country and return before his re-appearance in court next week.

Master Margaret Sookraj-Goswami acceded to the request of Hughes’ attorney Pamela Elder SC who said the lengthy delays in the criminal justice system were disadvantageous to her client and foreigners accused of criminal activities in general.

Sookraj-Goswami agreed to return Hughes’ passport and remove any reporting conditions attached to his $100,000 bail. She ordered that Hughes return on June 12 for his matter the day after and he re-lodge his passport with the court.

Elder said she represented foreigners in the Piarco Airport inquiry who were allowed to come and go and to have Hughes remain in the country on the “milk of human kindness” extended by his former attorney Criston Williams was not a comfortable position.

She said the Piarco matter involved millions of dollars as compared to Hughes’ who faces a $3,000 fine or two years imprisonment.

Hughes, 45, also pleaded not guilty to publishing a seditious document.

When the matter was first called on Monday, state attorney Danielle Thompson said she was awaiting instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions on how to proceed.

Elder said after discussing the matter with DPP Roger Gaspard, the state opted to proceed summarily which carries a lighter penalty.

Hughes, who was wearing a t-shirt with the word “freedom is a must” wants to attend to his family before returning to face the courts in this country.
