Unbelievable.

Conspiracy theory: If India had lost to Pakistan, there goes the world cup.

Jai hind either way....

USA just needs one more victory and they are more or less through to the next stage. India should come out on top from this group

Piss poor planning for this game at tarouba!
People walking from south park to the ground because the shuttle service is terrible. If you want the city gate experience come here!

Traffic backed until pos. Whose great idea was it to build a stadium here for such events?

Pure failure!!

Greta are the UNC/PP and the PNM. They are both culpable.

Under the PNM, Hafeez Karamath got a $100 million advance payment around 2008/2009.

It is good for north people to experience what south people go through every day. Shakes I feel it for you because you coming from in de bush.

NZ won toss and bowling first. So what result we expecting today? WI finally getting tough teams now unlike PNG and Uganda, lets see if they can stack up. I know the answer but I want to hear it from y'all.

Looks like they won't even make 60 runs. Should be an easy chase for NZ and their Net Run Rate would be high. I said before this competition started that it would be AFG and NZ coming out of this group.

I bought my ticket months ago for this game. Heard about the shuttle "service" yesterday and knew it would be utter chaos. Saw the traffic this evening and decided to sell my ticket.

Glad I noped out of this madness yes. All that to see west Indies get bowl out for less than 100.

Those fans should also know better not to buy tickets for a game where WI is playing a top team. What did they expect all these dunce big hitters to boss Southee and Boult around?

If it was Uganda and PNG then it would've made sense to go to this game but not against the likes of NZ.

You do know that half of that traffic is regular POS - South evening right. And also that it would the same if the match was in the Oval or if the stadium was in the East or West. Hell que most sporting events in a stadium world wide. We just like to complain sometimes for everything even if the organizers tried solutions to assist ala shuttle. There's also no way to do in sort of testing of such a solution btw. So damn if they do, damn if they don't.

Back to cricket. Sensible knock from Rutherford. Exactly what the conditions called for.

SHOCKING win by WI. NZ must be seriously and woefully out of form as a team for the likes of Joseph to not go for 10 runs per over. Glad for the win though and didn't have to come down to beating AFG in the next match.

WI through to the Super 8s.
NZ need WI to beat AFG and then beat Uganda and PNG badly to raise their NRR enough to edge AFG.
AFG would also have to lose against PNG, so NZ effectively out.

The big question, who deserves a rest for the AFG game.

Charles should be out Hope should come in to stabilize the batting at the top. Need proper batsmen to split up all the big hitting dunces in the team.

Imo Charles need a drop.

Back to logistics and common sense. It cannot be normal for me to leave Grande at 315pm for a game that begins at830pm. How??? There are lots of things to consider in something like this. Location of stadium is one. One way in and out is a NO NO... Just imagine there was an emergency. Face palm... As per "reliable shuttle service", take a look at the pic below.... Ohhh yes, I had to walk from the stadium to south park after because there were only 8 buses for 12k people.

Too late. There is already a road, however it's lonely and somewhat narrow. Btw how does the situation differ from Queen's Park oval? Haven't been to an international match in years, but I can recall it was really chaotic as well.

The major problem is with parking and actually reaching to the venue. For world Cup games you cannot park close to the stadium. At Queens Park one can park anywhere(whilst adhering to rules) and make a quick walk to the ground. When it's time to leave you can exit from multiple angles.

In south, you had to park at least 1 3/4 miles away(petrotrin was another point which was further) and wait for a bus which was like city gate during peak hours.... Hence people opted for walking.

Ttps had no plans for those who took the walking route(directing traffic, stopping vehicles at intersections etc). They could have had a designated lane with Ttps escorts for the said shuttles as well.

That traffic and park and ride setup was absolutely atrocious.

Coming in from Grande, I left 3pm, had to pick up 2 people along the way, stopped by Grand Bazaar for about 10 mins to get something to eat, and yet did not get a park near Southpark until about 7:40pm. Surprisingly the line for the bus was long but it moved quickly by that time (maybe a 15 min wait to get on).

The bus situation out was even more chaotic. The bus took more than an hour to get back to Southpark.

The venue is nice, but give me the QPO any day.

Some of the fixtures for the super 8s are out already. Seeing West indies playing south Africa and India playing the aussies.
I'd be in st. Lucia for that India/aussie game.
