Other than the standard ''Setting up the iPhone as a new one'' instead of restoring your iphone option through itunes when jailbreaking, try disabling wifi, push, ssh, bluetooth etc.,
I had this problem recently and after disabling all of those when not in use with Sbsettings my battery can sometimes last 3 days without charge. hope it helps

I actually had low battery life and found my phone to be rather hot for a few days after I updated to 3.0

After 4 days it went back to normal life, I just trained my battery but running it down then allowing to recharge. Things went back to normal.

BTW duane, can you explain the bmobile internet thing one more time? I tried it and got a "no data network connection" message.

Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network > APN

"Cellular Data"
set the APN to "INTERNET"
no username and no password

leave all the MMS settings blank

exit by clicking "<Network]" at the top and exit to the spring board

try your browser
if not then restart or hard reboot your phone and try again

if still not getting through then you don't have data activated on your SIM!

A listener has provided the Covin & Rich Show with photos and video of the next generation iPod touch.

According to that man (he works with Apple)…

“-to show it’s real. If you look at the board, it states Apple 2009 very clear. The 2nd gen AKA iPod touch out now, has 2008 on it. They haven’t revised the 2008 touch. I will compare them in pic in a sec.

-BTW, these phones NEVER leave Apple and this one left but it was a durability test phone, so that’s why the screen is all gridded off and cracked.

-The side by side picture is the inside of the current gen vs the 3rd gen (one coming out in September).

-I acquired this from a guy that I buy parts phones and iPods from. I believe he’s a recycler in ***********, so what most likely happened is that Apple threw this away and he some how got it and sold it for parts.â€

I was looking for a site to stream full songs live on the net... found grooveshark. I was looking for it for the iphone... found this article:
http://news.cnet.com/8301-13526_3-10304215-27.html

you can check how the interface is(if u never did):
http://listen.grooveshark.com/

I like it a lot... wished it would come out as an app and be free for the iphone.

ohhh quick question guys, besides this:
http://www.simonblog.com/2009/03/15/qui ... to-iphone/

is there another way to sync contacts to an iPhone? I have more than 200 contacts so using my sim would be a bit useless. Or is it the only way? o.O

Thanks guys.

I know the iPhone detects vcf's so, i was wondering if id have to convert all my contacts to vcf and some how send it to it?

Ok so i kno im jus an iphone padawan but i thought i would jus share this neat lil fix i found that actually saves on battery.
It may have been discussed already but say wat.

Since i got the phone i've been maintaining an mp3 playlist of about 53 songs i use when in the gym specifically.

I also started building an mp4 playlist simply because i find the quality better, i get a quick fix for watching video while connected to the cars audio, and im able to pull the HQ and HD quality vids from youtube much easlier than finding mp3s.

So naturally over time, i ended up having a mp4 version for all my mp3 songs, which really makes no sense cept for the fact that playing mp3s is lighter on the battery than mp4s.

now we all kno once we exit the ipod while on video mode the stream ends.
so i started looking for an app that can jus play the audio from mp4s, show no video and not be a battery hog while at it.

last night, while fiddling with the phone i discovered a way to do this on its own.
and it only works when your home button's double click opens the ipod and with show ipod controls on. which i have defaulted.

open any mp4 video in the ipod app
click the lock screen button
double click the home button
the ipod controls will display on the unlock screen
simply press play without unlocking the phone

the audio stream would resume with no video :!:
playback also continues when the backlight times out :D

i left the playback on overnight
from 2am the battery was at 97%
at 9am the battery was at 67%

so 20% drain for 7hours of mp4 streaming
not bad at all :!: :!: :!:

i think i jus found the fix for the gym and for the rare 'music while i sleep' fix
now i can knock off all the doubled up mp3s and free up some space.

enjoy

if it's searching..give it some time. My phone (after putting it on when I was done with the unlock), took about 3 full minutes to get service.

If its the P U K code... that has to so with the sim card not the phone. Call whoever your service provider is (TSTT/Digicel) and get the P U K code from them for that sim.

hey guys... just one question. I had to re-jailbreak my iPhone after an app installed f@#cked it up but now all of my incoming calls have 1(868) in front of the numbers like it's recognizing an international call.
If anyone can tell me how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it as it doesn't recognize my contacts as a result of the extra code.
