Samsung's Galaxy S II becomes company's quickest selling phone: three million in 55 days



Samsung sold three million of its original Galaxy S phone in 85 days. A few months later, a full ten million had been moved. Now, it looks as if the superphone's proper successor may put that latter statistic to shame. The outfit just announced that it took but 55 days to move three million Galaxy S II handsets, which works out to one phone every 1.5 seconds. It's Sammy's briskest-selling smartphone ever, and we're guessing that it'll keep up the pace once that AT&T variant lands on US soil. Which is coming soon, right Samsung?

i should have my galaxy s ii by thursday..i switching from my sony X10 because they just too late with the updates..i still on 2.1 so i got fed up

SE as a whole is meh. So glad I left them before Android.

That S II should last yuh a while before you hear Samsung eh updating it I'd hope. It's at least 18month assured updates ent mitchy?

yep updates up to 18 months at least. even the original Galaxy S got the 2.3.4 update before the S II

It makes android soooo attractive now eh.. well for me.

I used a Captivate recently and if Apple can make a Retina screen at 4"+ without messing up the pixel density (only way is probably to up the resolution again which is /not/ plausible) that would be epic. But wont happen!

I can imagine how sweet the atrix screen (540x960 [closer to "retina"] vs 480x800 on the captivate et al) would look!

I must say though, if I didn't get my first iPhone two years back and Android was in the position it is in now, I might have gone Android. but que sera sera.

Guys, honestly, the colors on the AMOLED Screens... What do you all think about it? I really don't favour it honestly, it looks too saturated at times.

Have Galaxy Tab...suggest apps, love this device, although the Ipad is superior, i gave it up for the TAB, whole heap of mobile fun, all it missin is plants vs zombies an monopoly which i eh buy yet. What are some fun android apps
