O negative blood donors

O negative blood donors

Folks,

I wanted to know if there are any O negative blood donors on this forum.
O negative persons can only receive blood from O negative donors - it is a rare blood type.
The reason for the request is that my wife is O negative and will be undergoing a planned C section next Saturday 18th Aug 2012 and therefore we are just being cautious in case of any emergency.
The blood bank also sometimes has problems in providing this O negative blood.

I am not a registered donor but I have persons who are and will be donating or have donated to blood bank.
Still does not guarantee blood bank having O negative blood because of it being rare.

my point is why are you not a voluntary blood donor?
why haven't you considered giving blood in the past?

While I am not a regular blood donor I have given in the past.
My wife has also donated in the past
