Work permit or H1B US visa experience

Anyone on the forum ever had experience with applying for and obtaining an H1b US visa. If so can you share your experience at the US embassy like what questions are asked and what documents they asked for etc. at he embassy. I have done extensive research and only came up with India experiences.

If you really have done extensive research, then you'd know that you have to find a job willing to sponsor you for an H1B in the US first.

I know you have to get a job offer which i already have. What i wanted to find out is the process here when you go for H1b stamping like what questions the visa officer ask you etc ( someone personal experience who when through the process already). This is after you get all the necessary documentation and approval from your prospective employer and the US immigration dept.

See above. Your job has to apply for it - not you. Their lawyers will take care of the application.

I just want to find whats the interview process is like here. from someone who went for h1b interview and stamping. People have posted up there visa interview and stamping experience on a lot of sites on the net but i have not seen anyone from the Caribbean experience

*sigh*... the company's lawyers take care of the paperwork you need to carry for the interviews and brief you on the interviews. It's different for each job, person, embassy and interviewer. If your new job (or their lawyers) did not already tell you this, then it doesn't look like you're getting it.

I should also mention that there is an H1B quota each year (refreshes each October, applications open in April), which fills up pretty quickly. So you will have to wait till April for an H1B petition and August/September for the embassy interview.

ppl still bothering to go there
its an ok experience but they will never treat u the same as a citizen or green card holder
all they ask is when u going what you going to do how long you doing it
blah blah by time the h1 is approved you are already clear the interview is just bull to make sure you know what was applied for and what was said
