AFAIK Airsoft equipment is illegal in T&T as they do not offer smooth bore.

It have a set ah dumb fcukin laws in trini, not even a slinging shot allowed in trini. You can however buy a harpoon at any fishing store.
Brought in a kids Bow and arrow set and its a set of bullchit red tape from Police and customs . In the end gave up on it and showed them how dumb the laws are, no kids Bows allowed but u can get a spear guy to buy from any fishing store.

I don't think they will let you keep those. If you look at the one I ordered, you can see the spring on the barrel, so they can see it's a toy. the ones you are looking at can pass off as real if you paint the orange tip.

You can bring in paint ball or airsoft guns, just need an FUL first.

And for those two it has nothing to do with rifling in the barrel, even if you bring them in with smooth bores they will be seized.

Any device made or formed with the intent or capacity to launch a projectile with a diameter greater than 4.5 mm or 0.177 inches is essentially considered a firearm whether powered by explosive propellant or air. Some paint balls are 0.5 inches diameter, and many are bigger, most airsoft replicas are 6mm diameter, & both types usually come smooth bore.

We live in a country with such backward 3rd world laws. Decent honest citizens can't even have a toy gun but Criminals are allowed to go on a rampage killing everything and everyone with an RPG.

I always wanted to own a fake Replica AK 47 just wanted it to look and feel authentic. Tried to bring it in with Raptor but he said its not allowed this is so stupid.

you cannot leagally have airsoft pistols, and you cannot get the permit for them since 1991 i think, due to some guy being held up and shot with one. I could be wrong but i think that was it.

But there are people who have the permits still from prior to that. I know someone who has it and ordered a smooth bore pistol. Came down and customs seized it. When he went to clear it, the person in charge did not want to clear it, reason being that it 'looked to real'.

Upon pressing the matter with higher-ups, here is the exact solution that the person gave: "you can only clear those things if you have a registered air gun club". So in essence, the club is 75% processed thus far. Waiting to see the outcome
