i understand it just fine. but you should probably revisit the title of the thread. it is the Religion discussion thread. not the why science is better than religion thread.[/quote]

I use to look forward to reading on this thread till it went in a different direction. It's not a Religion thread any more.

So in the news today, we found out why God is greater than evolution.

the thread somehow became a war between scientist/logicians and religio-spiritualists. even though i think most of us support the pursuits of science, but simply believe that all praise and glory should go to God for man's discoveries and accomplishments. many logicians seem to insist that we hate science. but that is totally untrue. i personally love science. i just love God more lol

Some time in the very distant future, people may think that there was a cult of Steve Jobs.

So why is it that contemporary science echoes the Bible so much?

Only in areas where it clashes with biblical beliefs so that it can be explained in terms that are more easily understood by those who hold those biblical beliefs.

There are a lot of contemporary science that do not mention or echo religion at all. It's mostly science that deals with origins or morals because (as you already know) these two attributes form defining beliefs in most religions.

Wicca (English pronunciation: /ˈwɪkə/) is a modern pagan, witchcraft religion. It was developed in England during the first half of the 20th century and it was introduced to the public in 1954 by Gerald Gardner, a retired British civil servant. It draws upon a diverse set of ancient pagan and 20th century hermetic motifs for its theological structure and ritual practice. The word witch derives from Middle English wicche, Old English wicce (/ˈwɪttʃe/) (feminine) "witch" and wicca (/ˈwɪttʃɑ/) (masculine) "wizard".[1]

Wicca is a diverse religion with no central authority or figure defining it. It is divided into various lineages and denominations, referred to as traditions, each with its own organisational structure and level of centralisation. Due to its decentralized nature, there is some disagreement over what actually constitutes Wicca. Some traditions, collectively referred to as British Traditional Wicca, strictly follow the initiatory lineage of Gardner and consider the term Wicca to apply only to such lineaged traditions, while other eclectic traditions do not.

Wicca is typically duotheistic, worshipping a god and goddess traditionally viewed as a mother goddess and horned god. These two deities are sometimes viewed as facets of a greater pantheistic godhead. However, beliefs range from hard polytheism to even monotheism. Wiccan celebration follows approximately eight seasonally based festivals known as Sabbats. An unattributed statement known as the Wiccan Rede is the traditional basis of Wiccan morality. Wicca often involves the ritual practice of magic, though it is not always necessary.

Why is it that no scientist, no matter how intelligent could create any thing? Heal all diseases and ailments or create life? As I understand it, science is just the discovery and study of the intricacies of God's creation.

So very true. Everything we need has already been given (except the cure for death). All science can do is discover what is already there.

internet is a mimic of what hindu spiritual gurus talk about. a whole other world where they go and meet telepathically on another plane and have access to loads of information. so God really is the one to make the first internet. man just make a mimicing system of it again extremely inferior in comparison.

It has been proven that the Romans used interconnected plants for their "internet" ... The Mayans and Aztecs and the Egyptian used blood as the first layer of the OSI model to make connection with the "internet" as well. The soul has the unique identifier as the mac address... To communicate with the dead the soul must enter a host. This is an example of Mac spoofing but in this case its soul spoofing.

What about electricity? What about cell phones? What about trains and plants and automobiles? Did God give us those as well?

So when God made man, he said that it was not good for him to be alone. So he created woman. And joined the man and woman together as man and wife.

Then along comes the Pope who says that it is good for man to be alone if he wants to be a priest.

So the natural urges that are to be satisfied through marriage are to be satisfied otherwise!
