Recently bought a a shimano fx s-80 8ft 2 piece rod and have a diezel dz65 reel put down a while after the rod broke. Gonna start to do some fishing as a hobby again, is this combo good?

Nice! The owner of the boat is my cuz. Real kool fella. Man have real spots mark out on he GPS. You should ask him to make a night by the rigs for some huge snappers all 100lbs and more.

Thanks man.. is this a recommendable reel.. I currently have a pursuit 8000 which works pretty good but need another spinning reel to get good casting distance

Thanks

Nice cudas :)
I bought an 8ft nylon spanish braille net last time I went, think it was about 400. If your shoulder isn't good don't get it, nice and heavy :P . I think the green monofilament english braille nets are around 5-600, opens really easy, I soak mine in some softener first time around, really makes it nice and loose.

Its a great skill to learn and master, and you have to like doing it, shoulder, back pain and all lol. I practice a japanese style of momentum throw from hosokawa that uses spanish style nets.

Thinking about carrying the family down Mayaro on Republic Day. Is it worth it to take my rod? Any action down that side from the surf? Will probably be on the Manzan Road side, not the Guaya side.

Let me know if it's worth the effort to carry the rod/tackle/bait etc.
