Males and females in d same tank...if you give them a hiding place the males will coax the females to breed and the rest is history.

Looking for some chelated iron for an aquaponics setup. Lettuce and patchoi leaves are a big yellow. Could anyone point me in the right direction to get some?

Anyone seen these enclosures selling locally? Wanna mount it to the IBC frame to house the outlet for the pump.

That's expensive for just one box. There is weatherproof boxes down here.
I used a 2 liter ice cream container to house my timer and outlet.

Are Tilapia the only type of fish people are using in their systems? Any other edible freshwater species available to us locally?

Need some recommendations to clean the water in my aquaponics setup. Too much suspended solids about and the water cloudy.

u can set up a simple gravity filtration system using Aquarium stone, and medium density foam.....
Unfiltered water to the top and filtered water to the bottom
Put a nice thick layer of stone
Build two of them so when one is being cleaned the backup is there

just wash out the stones and foam when its dirty and pack them back...very easy
the time frame between cleans will depend on how the "dirty" the unfiltered water is

if u use a thick enough layer of aquarium stone or its equivalent i think you could get up to 2 weeks or more before a clean

gravel could work but it usually has a little portion of silt, clay and slush that will clog the foam and cause filtration to move slower....if he needs that sort of filtration he better off using a layer of red sand under the aquarium stones....

if its just to trap solids and smaller particles stone and foam will handle that and move water faster

Newb question: 1st time grower here, looking to yield some fat buds/flowers. Which is most effective CFL, High pressure sodium or led light. I'm looking to drop some cash on the first few items needed, so I'm thinking light and air in/out first. Am I on the right track?
