Makes sense thanks, i run netflix and prime on wifi via flow 30 mb with no issues using a airport express.

Live tv via kodi on the firestick does pose some issues, movies are a bit better. I watched the w cup qualifiers and cricket allstars which streamed pretty good this week.

Just wondering if android box with ethernet would work better than a wifi firestick with kodi.

Any views on the forum?

Guys,

I recently bought two boxes from Online Android Companion on trinituner, one is an mx111 and the other is m8s.......both works good with the system he put on it.....The m8s however is the boss, I have ccloud, genesis, zemtv, zeetv, football today, football replay, njm soccer, etc............and everything is streaming excellent, I ma using flow 15mbs.......and no sticking at all.......So I dump my firestick....I now got my phone, surround sound system and tab.....connected to the box....

both the Fire TV Stick and Airport Express run 802.11n wireless. While that supports a theoretical bonded speed of 300Mb/s, it realistically may only give you ~120 to 150Mb/s. But that is already MUCH faster than your FLOW 30Mb/s connection! So adding wired will not add any additional speed since your internet connection is already slow than what your wifi is capable of.

Now that is not taking into consideration how many devices you have connected via wifi to the Airport Express, what you are streaming, where you are streaming it from and where the router is in relation to the TV stick - all of those things will affect performance.

Netflix and Youtube work considerably better on FLOW since Flow has their own Netflix and Youtube cache servers licensed by Netflix and Youtube, so you are actually streaming the movies and videos from Flow servers in T&T instead of over the internet from the US most of the times, especially if you watch popular titles and clips.

No buffering/freezing during movie or live feed
No jumping back to home screen
and the addons are working nice.....

Just to note the mx111 work good also, am not bashing the seller, but the m8s...is better.....

All these things are far too sketchy and unreliable IMO

Think its a problem with some devices
No settings are needed everything populates for itself
It works on the Gbox Q just fine no issues everything loads and plays, lots of streams does be offline.
Doesn't work with the Gbox MXII, NeoX8-H, MXQ, OUYA, Videon and FireTV (works sometimes)

What I did was remove the one that came with the box..although saw the auto update working etc it never really did.. Went on the mobdro website and downloaded the latest apk put on flash and installed on box.. Started to work for me from there..as rhd said tho most streams down but also have a good few working..

Again this work for me
But you know sepaul luck is not goupaul luck sometimes..

Anyone had issues getting Amazon Prime to work on the firestick?

I'm using unblockus, have everything set up. But nothing.
Netflix and Kodi work fine.

Wished Mobdro worked with my DLNA setup. Mobdro working boss on my Tab 10.1. I waiting for BF Sales to buy the Asus nexus player and will flash a rooted rom on it and dig up.

I also didn't realise that fusion has an auto installer for packages...

see here:
First add Kodi from google play store then inside Kodi.

1. System
2. File Manager
3. Add Source
4. http://fusion.tvaddons.ag
5. Name it Fusion
6. System
7. Add-ons
8. Install from zip file
9. Fusion
10. Start-here
11. Plugin.video.hubwizard-1.1.9.zip
12. Programs
13. Program add-ons
14. Config Wizard
15. Android

This will setup your Kodi with Genesis, Phoenix, Navi-x, Icefilms and others.

Showbox in kodi works much better than the app.... Never knew there was a topic like this before as a seller and programmer of these boxes namely mxq (my personal preference) I'm inviting anyone to post or pm me with tech and programming issues and I'll assist as best as possible really believe cable companies over doing it with their content to price ratio.
