the ISP should not matter, it should still work.

was it working with another ISP and then stopped working when you switched to Digicel Fibre?

that's correct. Had FLOW before and it was fine. But when i use Digicel it doesn't work. Their router doesn't allow you to port forward and enabling the uPnP doesn't work either.

does the digicel service have a firewall on it?
are your remote connections using the new ip?

Check and make sure that public ip shown in plex matches that of your isp. What OS are you running plex on? Do you have IPV6 enabled in your router? If you do then you need to enable it in plex.

Yup ip matches. IPv6 is enabled in plex.

Currently running it on a Mac mini with El Capitan

go here https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2, click proceed.
type in 32400, click user specified custom port probe. What's the result?

List of other ports you can also check

I had this problem in my plex setup before and was due to jumbo frames and ipv6.

Check this https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200931138-Troubleshooting-myPlex-Server-connections for some insight on troubleshooting no remote access.

Yeah digi fiber has a firewall on the modem that cannot be turned off at present as it requires a firmware upgrade.

Yeah I have Digicel fibre and remote access to my Plex server works. It did stop briefly when Digicel attempted to switch me to IPv6. I only noticed by the change in the IP addressing scheme. That disabled the ability to do do port forwarding on the Huawei ONT device. I called them and asked them to undo the change and they did. Problem solved.

They need to rethink that IPv6 thing and come again. I'm not too happy with the limitations on the Huawei ONT but I've been able to work around things so far. No complaints with the Internet service though.

Recently upgraded my Plex server hardware. Should be able to handle concurrent streams a bit easier. Need to add some storage next!

Is asking them to switch to IPv4 still an option or are we given no choice in the matter anymore?

Not too sure. I haven't had the problem since. I can still do port forwarding. You should call them and find out.
