Piarco Plaza? Nah. If they going to the east/ or anywhere for that matter, should go where there's plenty of people traffic to start. Trincity Mall is the best option. Both rituals and coffee beanery are there but shouldn't be an issue. The rituals outlets are like kiosks. Coffee beanery? More expensive than rituals, Starbucks name also have more pull than them. After Trincity Mall, Shoppes of Trincity/ Massy stores place is an ok location.

Surprised downtown POS is not one of the four outlets though. U know how much people does be buying rituals everyday?

The airport is a good location too. The KFC in the airport always have plenty patrons and Starbucks owned by the same company.

Aren't there already like 4 Rituals and a Coffee Beanery in Trincity Mall?

Opening yet another coffee place might not be allowed by the renter's agreements.

Think it's 3 rituals "outlets ", 2 of which are part of other "stores". I don't know if there are any rental agreement but, I'm sure there's a way to get rid of somebody ala movietowne and detour tech.

grand bazaar for east, i doubt Trincity mall mgmt. would care, why turn away a big global brand, more shoppers, more visitors. and trincity must be losing out in shopper numbers to shops of trincity, piarco plaza, grand bazaar, even shops of arima or xtra foods arima. they need something to get people in, cos peope living far east don't need to go to trincity if they have shops of arima or piarco plaza to go to.

Trincity Mall losing? TM is probably the most successful mall locally for per person sales and that's from the store owners perspective having spoken to quite a few of them over the last few years. Piarco Plaza has nothing to compete with them neither GB. Shoppes of Arima has potential as far as strip malls go owing to the growth projected for the east but still no competition. Afaik there is a branch targeted for West Mall but the current tenant has to be removed first. Rituals will always beat Starbucks on sheer volume, PHL would be nuts to go after that in the short term, I think they're going to market themselves as the top niche market seller making sure each store is profitable and concentrate on customer experience and perception

Shoppes of arima gets breakins almost every month, they come thru the roof
Many of the original businesses have left and mostly smaller businesses with little standing inventory remaining

Piarco Plaza, Shops of Trincity and Shops of Arima have nothing on Trincity Mall. They all have potential but are still struggling to pull the tenants. Piarco Plaza and Shops of Trincity have been opened for more than a year and both have unrented stores.

Lol at Trincity having Rituals and Coffee Beanery already.
Starbucks will go Trincity and easily pull customers so that their lines will always be stink. There's a reason brand names are worth much more than even some countries GDP.

Trincity mall also has a cinnabon which has the same kind of coffee. And there's always subway.

i don't agree with that. trincity only has a cinema as something extra. there are no better nor more special shops there, and food courts selling chinese, BK, KFC, roti, creole food that people can buy anywhere else. Anything one wants one can get at all the other major malls. I live about 20 mins from Shops of Arima is most days it's packed and full of cars, i bet it is literally now as i write. I won't be surprised if Trincity mall mgmt. realising a fall in visitor numbers

Disagree. It's always crowded, but the stores pack little appeal. A whole lot of nothing.

notthat i see. i think it opened in 2011 or so, well over half of the original tenants are still there. from big firms like Beacon to smaller ones like stationery stores or bakeries.

I think it is illustrative of TM's consumer power that Tru Valu has possibly their largest SM in TM and Pennywise has their largest store in TM. Has to be because of its location appeal.

Yea...but from what i noticed there...its not really a "liming" spot...

Ppl go there for a reason: to shop or do business...but with Trincity mall you can do that plus watch a movie or buy food and eat there at 1 of the 2 food courts or the few eating places in the middle.... piarco plaza dont have a food court

Starbucks coming to T&T

Postby desifemlove » September 3rd, 2016, 11:11 am

is drinking coffee or nyaming down muffins liming? i guess everything is subjective, ent? Places like Starbucks are in busy places, near other conveniences. Grand Bazaar would be best, Trincity looking too run down and n***erish these days, needs a revamp.
