doing things differently back then will mean I wont be in the present that I am in now....so while I could have made better choices in some avenues....I would do it all over the same way again

Not saying that's not true, but all I'm advising is minimize your commitments in your 20s. It's the only time of your life when you get to explore or fully dedicate your life to something without hurting someone else (wife or kids).

To me the worst thing you can do in your twenties is live life on autopilot and not expanding yourself.

Life is a cruel teacher. She gives the exams first and then the lessons.

Well.... I would not of put soo much energy into learning about computer hardware, support and service if I knew back then that computer hardware would be cheap, the Internet cloud would rule, and men would run the Information Technology world in the palm of their hands via their cellular phones, I would of just studied programming Alone!, and said HYMC to everyone and everything else, its too late in the game for me to make billions but I could still make millions!

You correct though about land value then and now

Depreciate how? 0.o

Depends on what you are measuring against.
And the point in time and the period of time in question.

Everything has a VALUE.
but that value is RELATIVE to something else.
And appreciation/depreciation depends on the value of that something... a Sq foot of Land here is worth x units of y ...y could be gold, oil,TTD, USD, jellybeans or cars.

Because of inflation we need more units of currency to buy anything vs 10,15,20 years ago.

If they devalue the TTD to 10 to 1....what happens to your TTD ? And property?

Same thing happens with any and all assets.

If things go side ways-we will see land selling at lower prices

Absolutely go for it.

We have to many fabricators in the country.....but we have a severe shortage of fabricators that you can trust, and who do proper work.. and who treat their customers with respect and integrity.

This is true for every profession, occupation and job in TnT.

Do a good job, keep your word and do a little marketing -you wouldnt have a quiet moment.

I say go hard.

Education past A'Levels maybe even O'Levels is a waste of time.Time is the most important resource you have.

Do your research and take calculated risks to make your future financially secure and self sustainable. You will have at least 5 years advantage over people who pursue tertiary education and now looking to work and make somebody else wealthy.Your business will be up and running and you could always do a degree or master's part time and one which would actually help you with your already successful business. You also get to laugh at all your friends' TGIF and Weekend memes knowing fully well that they just like the sheep mentality of complaining about their jobs while they will do nothing to change their course in life.

i agree with that

yrsss ago i taught myself to weld & fabricate , started when somebody broke into our home & stole some stuff & we had no burglar proofing back then , we had some equipment laying around when my bro did a course & he did stuff as DIY .

once u can weld properly & have some common sense u can figure ur way as u go along as every situation presents different challenges . I did it for a living for a few yrs but d constant "nara" made me give it up since u cannot escape d heavy lifting , its a nice job but u have to have helpers who have some brain otherwise u will ketch ur ass , it takes alot of time to do things properly
: its alot of hard work .... after a while i saved up some $ & went into other business ...still kept all my equipment & occasionally use it when something needs to be done

imho i doubt u can find time to do it as a sideline since when ppl know u & work starts coming in they hardly gonna wait for u especially when its urgently needed or its a good sized job ...

We will have a shortage because of the fight down with every trade. Someone willing to do it for less and substabdard work now becomes the norm.

I agree a degree cant get you much this rounds but it makes you more marketable. You learn things that you can apply to your work and give yourself the extra edge over the competition.

The only ones who were successful would have been the ones who exited in time. Getting good interest and then losing on your capital doesn't balance even if the amount you lost in the long run was less than the interest you made.

And that's quite a number of people over the 20-30 year life of the product.

But now the banks have the deposit market cornered and all is well.

I disagree- education is important and a degree in something that youre passionate about will be an asset through out life.
But it is useless by itself....maybe too many people feel that its a destination and treat it as such....then find out that its an early milestone.

What we need is flexibility in how we deliver AN education to those who want it.
We need more modes of education in order to adapt to the current dispositions of students in this internet age...

Said the same thing not too far back. Education is an asset but to most old traditional famalies education is all and thats it. The degree will get you a job. Thats why so many of them home right now. That and they have too much pride to take up a job in a grocery or hardware etc. Mommy and daddy will mine them

The job market for people that hold degrees is just over saturated right now. It's a buyer's market and university grads have to sell themselves cheap.

Degree or not, if you work hard you are more likely to gain an advantage over those that don't, but not as much of an advantage as those that have "connections"
