digicel VIP postpaid migration email

Postby sickbad » June 18th, 2017, 6:04 am

Anybody else get an email from Digihell that they are increasing your postpaid plan to 350$ next month. Its just strange because my $200 plan works for me and they have to be crazy to jack everybodys like that. I Emailled to complain. Anybody else tho?

I think it's the wording of the email, as it doesn't speak to upgrade being optional; it sounds like it's going to happen and you have to like it (and pay for it). To answer maj. tom, I tried calling to decline the upgrade, but 7-7 Monday to Friday are working hours for the agents responsible for the plans as per the CSR I spoke to yesterday morning.

I got the email as well and yes, the wording makes it seem as though you don't have an option but to migrate to the other plans. I will be calling them on Tuesday to verify and decline the upgrade (if possible).

Rather presumptuous because if you don't call in, it would just take effect from July 16..? It seems . These people really trying to up their revenue at any means possible.. Thanks for the input fellas .. PS i spent over 15minutes on digi customer service to be hung up on, so calling in sometimes is the worst

I called in, as well as spoke to a csr in the trincity digicel. I was told both times that it is not optional. Only if you are still on your 18 month contract that you will remain with your old plan

Digi website has postpaid plans from 350,550,750 etc.. What ever happened to value bronze silver gold, now its platinum 24k and diamond ..

It is sad that they patronize customers calling them VIP when they are increasing by 30% per month. And rubbing 6GB in your face like the average adult has time to waste all day. It is over prescribing and isolating the moderate use users. Bmobile starts from 199 with 1GB..

Best I go prepaid and only use WiFi onlydata and callbacks like all the people who dont have postpaid roll.

Nice. I only got my contract in October 2016 so I should be ok for a while.

The point is either switch from postpaid to prepaid OR switch providers. That is the only way digicel will get the hint and realise that without their customers, they have no business...

U think if a couple thousand ppl decide to go prepaid or jump ship, (very convenient with number portability) they won't change their plans???
It doesn't even have to be permanent, just for a couple mths for digicel to get the hint.

Nah bro, I don't they care that much..one time, I was complaining about inability to forward my calls to my bmobile phone, as well their poor data service in Sando or Palmiste and environs and the CSR went so far as to insinuate that my phone is shitty and not their network, because there's no way I could be experiencing EDGE instead of 4G in the heart of Sando, so it had to be my phone..its not an S8 but my lil Note 3 is still packing some power man, don't disrespect my phone like that man. :? When I told him that I'm not feeling to get a dual sim yet and school, work..everything is tied to this number so that's the only thing preventing me from switching networks, he further went on to advise that I port my number to bmobile and mind you, I forgot I had that option until he reminded me eh, so you think they'd really 'miss' me?? What needs to happen is a mass migration or boycott for them to feel the brunt..

The Bmobile plan for 199 will be 3GB effective next billing cycle, so I cool with that, I getting 2GB extra data at no additional charge, free weekend and night calling, free SMS. I happy with my plan

Anyone has a comparison of the plans before this change? I am on the $336 plan, but want to figure out what this $14 extra really getting me.

Also, I think that plan had a golden number when I signed up...does that transfer over with this new plan?

I replied to the email got no reply. Went into Digicel and the rep seemed familiar with customers being puzzled. From what Ive been told it is not optional you have to take the $350 a rep actually called me a while ago with this and I said to leave my plan as is and I am not interested and she did warn me that it will be mandatory at some point. I will be going prepaid ..Had bmobile and not going to go back and not paying more than my usual bill.

Digicel have to be insane. I hope alot of folks on the older plans like me will leave or go prepaid. Glad to read on here I'm not the only one pissed with that crap.

Digicel sucks. Customer service sucks. I learnt a long time ago that is how they operate jus drop charges on your ass.

My company had an agreement with contract and wothout warning i just started to receive a larger bill. My query took 4 months to be rectified and my Sims were cut during that time ( their mistake btw and no compensation ). And i am a corporate customer with over 300 sims. I changed immediately to bmobile last year and zero regrets trust me. Faster data and better customising options for what i needed. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better customer service.

Also if you use data folks and feel you are going to save on digi by going prepaid you are dead wrong. Digicel raised prepaid data rate per kb last year which is what initiated my problems. Made me go postpaid, sign contract and get bull. Never again. Bmobile is now much more present around the country i get good service even up matlot.

So many of us have this service provider and we are complaining and we really need the use of their services. Thing is we are all post paid and once our service is upgraded or renued we have an entitlement to a complimentary phone. If every one of us demand this phone they have to give it to us.Of course it's not of the best but demand ur complimentary phone!

Digicel changed the plan twice about a two month they changed the plan you paid the same $336 for unlimited calls all local numbers Digi Bmobile Flow massy and Caribbean Digi numbers plus US Canada and English land lines plus free Digi to Digi on weekends I did not mind being upgraded to that plan only short coming was on my current plan I can call US and Canada cell phone numbers out of my six hundred minutes as opposed to land line only. But now the change that plan in less than six months and they are carp they are counting on people seeing the 6 Gbs of data as opposed to my 3 Gbs now but now you get unlimited Digi to Digi but only 300 minutes to other providers
