Yea privacy coins like xmr, cloak, nav, zcash etc will make some good strides next year. 42-coin is a shitcoin though. I would leave alone

True, but the world would benefit from those intelligent people applying that time and brain power to solving real world problems

Just my opinion, not trying to start any arguments in here

No argument here just friendly discussion. You really think there is not enough intelligence already in tnt or the world to solve problems? That is not the problem. The problem is INTEGRITY. From smart to stupid stealing. From small scale to so big we can't comprehend. Besides, even if all the intelligent band together and had integrity they still wouldn't be able to overcome the mass of stupid. But we done tief this thread too much already.

Highly doubt any local bank will be electronically linked to a bitcoin exchange
They still take 4 days to clear a check

Everywhere charges you extra fee when purchasing and selling BTC and other coins but that is ridiculous.

Right now @ coinmama.com

1 BTC is 9210.7 where BTC is about 8700.
They say 7% fee so looks good.

If anyone knows of a lower rate place please speak up.

Coinbase is currently selling for $8662, but they don't sell to ppl in T&T, like many other brokers

Maybe some Trini who has a boatload of btc will soon start selling on local open market for ttd or usd

Many foreign Venezuelans are sending money back home via bitcoin,
Money arrives in minutes and there are cashrich locals who are willing to exchange their local cash for bitcoin as they are now getting an appreciating asset which is held privately and no govt can seize from them.

The beauty about crypto currencies is the simple fact that the owner is the sole holder if he uses his own wallet.
Nobody or govt can seize the asset unless they have access to the owner's wallet private keys.
This of course is also a reason why govts may ban crypto currencies.

The process to sign up and buy and trade can require serious identification methods. This ID info could be used in theory by government to track and take over or tax your coins unless the exchange refuses to comply. Now if stored offline they still have your transaction info as proof.

yeah still using it currently, but only cause the withdrawal fees so high i didn't jump out yet.
eToro was great in the start but the spread is ridiculous now on some crypto and the withdrawal fees are considerably higher now.

made some money with it on Ethereum some months ago and there was good opportunity to make some money on BCH two weeks ago too.

Claims are a few bucks per day,
Any locals getting better than that?
Seems it makes more sense to just buy btc than buy a rapidly depreciating asset which takes longer to make back its capital cost

Spreads will narrow as more volume comes into the market.

If you are buying and holding wait it out.

Given the relative size and !newness' there will be people looking to exploit the lack of choices.

ASIC miners only worth it if you get in early in its release. But that is mostly a scam market they delay sending you it for months and use it in meanwhile to mine for themselves while profits high. I contacted a few directly to see. First of all its only when they have batches ready...which is random. Secondly after payment (which is either wire transfer or direct bitcoins IE NOT CREDIT CARD or any other form of payment) it takes 2-3 months to ship if not longer. By that time profits go down drastically. Buying through 3rd party scam risk and there is no authorized re-sellers. Buying used off ebay is well madness for the risk imho. Not to mention price charged is 3x or more original cost.

$9400
Yeah, Those mining machines made by Chinese companies and at the same time the majority of miners are in china, an arms race.
There are various comparisons where it makes sense to mine or simply buy btc wrt to payback time.
Not any different than an oil company deciding if to drill depending on oil price.
