Very frequent lightning is occurring, mainly across Southern Trinidad with over 1,700 lightning strikes detected in the last hour as of 1:00 PM, with 877 strikes being dangerous cloud to ground lightning.

Ok so there is a report in 2016 I believe that indicates the water resource agency ( responsible for watershed management) has a conflict of interest being a part of WASA.
That's why, the water catchments and reservoirs are below level but places flooding.

the cipero river, at the cross crossing interchange, was tip top, after the rain. so, the vids of by vemcott would ahve been as the vids shown,

indeed. i did a quick graph on the current dam levels and they are all going down. Hillsborough and Hollis are on a downward trend while the other 2 are stabilizing.

TT MET Service: A band of showers and thundershowers associated with the foreleg of a tropical wave is currently affecting south Trinidad. Showers are likely to affect both islands over the next 2 to 4 hours.

Heavy rain in Barataria all the way to Santa Cruz. Some flooding but it is passable on the Saddle Road.

Read on the Express that we were back to green re the Met Office. TT Weather center predicted thundershowers that some areas are experiencing now.
