as i recall, those two dials in the front wheel hubs were to lock / unlock the hubs from the axles. (bit of a pita when you had to hop out in mud, to now lock your axles, as B20B learnt at wallers).
you still had to put into 4x to drive the front axles.
and have no recollection of front locking diff.
normally that is placed on the rear axle, instead of trying to lock wheels that may move at different speeds while the steering is turned.
venum and hondab20b should be able to give you more thorough info.

Just FYI none of the trucks on the local market come equpped with a locker (locking diff) , front or rear.
All come with an LSD save the Navara, which has completely open hubs all round.
Not all LSDs are the same, some are more effective than others in a given situation.
An ideal, would be a locking diff that acts like an LSD when NOT engaged.
Open diffs in a powerful diesel are a recipe for random burnouts, and exciting vehicle dynamics in low traction driving conditions.

But I have seen fully loaded ford rangers, mazda BT50's and the new grand vitara have electronic lockable front, rear and center diffs in some instances, just the push of a button to name a few
Kia sorento has a rear locking diff also
