The word "AHMAD" is found in the Dead Sea Scrolls:

(Click to play film)
http://www.answering-christianity.com/a ... crolls.wmv

This film was also taken from this Youtube Channel. As the author of the video said, look at the Aramaic alphabets in the Wikipedia link given, below. See how Hhet and Tav are written. They look very similar. See also how the Dalet and Khaf are written, and how they're similar. Now create your own "AHMAD" and "ETMAK" from these alphabets. Now, compare the two words, and see how similar they look. Compare the two words with the DSS by ignoring the vowels and accent ending. Which word look similar? Now read the whole chapter of Isaiah 42. And even if the DSS was not tampered with, was it written wrongly as the letters are very similar? The error could have gone back even before the DSS was written.

Jeremiah 8:8-9
New International Version (NIV)

8 How can you say, “We are wise,
for we have the law of the Lord,”
when actually the lying pen of the scribes
has handled it falsely?

9 The wise will be put to shame; they will
be dismayed and trapped. Since they
have rejected the word of the Lord
,
what kind of wisdom do they have?

why was it revealed to them if they couldnt read it?

lol
as much as I like to poke fun, I will always keep an open mind. Part of that is at least taking the time to read the book and hopefully there will be something learned from the experience. I read the bible twice but it really didn't do much for me.....maybe this will be different. I also read what is supposed to be an english translation of the Gita...didn't have any awe-inspiring revelation.........would love to browse the Mahabharata tho...........just to cross reference Tsoukalos' alien references

AdumB,why do you quote from a book that is altered to prove some of your points? Is it the whole thing that is altered or only some parts? If so how do you know which parts are correct to quote from?

the book is altered conveniently for his purposes... hence his flawed logic. someday he might get it i hope...
up to now he cant say when where and by whom it was altered... but it altered!

Pal,
Would a christian take what I quote from the Quran? I have quoted extensively from it in the past but on this thread they say it's napkin drama!

So if I can quote from the Bible to show evidence to support the Islamic views or contrary to some "christian" concepts, then that worthwhile IMO.

Obviously the whole bible may not be tampered with but certainly it has been, verses have been altered and put in to promote their erroneous doctrines like trinity. They have changed the laws, teachings and practises of Jesus to suit their desires. A people who have gone astray!!

That's right, the Qur'aan has superseded the Bible. Well the laws from the Gospel of Jesus, Psalms of david, Torah of Moses, and the known revelations from GOD, not the books that they pick and choose to put in the "Bible", some were not divinely inspired. No where in the bible does it say that those books were to be compiled together.

Hasn't the New Testament, sorry the testament of Paul, superceded the Old Testament?

You (CHRISTIANS) don't follow it's laws and The GOD of the Old TestAment. HE is not a GOD of Love but of WRATH and JEALOUSY, of UNITY!!

is this what you understand of the christian faith, sorry about the bible? then you are ill informed...you are yet to tell us about the changes made anyways ... its ok to say you have no clue about that too!

AdamB wrote:You (CHRISTIANS) don't follow it's laws and The GOD of the Old TestAment.

so why not get your facts right? is this how you learn about Islam? one fulfills all the laws of the old testament the moment one begins walking in love

AdamB wrote:HE is not a GOD of Love but of WRATH and JEALOUSY, of UNITY!!

why do you suggest that he cannot be all of those? explain, how does wrath and jealousy excludes love? my friend, because you love your daughter wouldn't you pour out wrath on someone who wrongs her? didn't you noticed Gods laws are an expression of his love for you, that he don't want you to be hurt by what he restrict us from doing? eg: you would be hurt if a man takes your wife, you would be hurt if you found out she lies about it and you would definitely be hurt if he kills you !!!! when the laws are broken someone gets hurt!
someone who God loves, is it not ok then for him to get angry about this??

You really have to be smoking something, or English is not your first language.

AdamB wrote:some were not divinely inspired

I could understand if you had preceded the above with "I believe that..." However, such a dogmatic statement regarding something you have shown to have little or no knowledge of, is foolish. Do you have "proof" of such a remark? (Let me guess... they disagree with the Koran, right? That's not proof. That's just as logical as a Hindu telling you that some suras within the Koran are not divinely inspired because the do not agree with much older scriptures...)

AdamB wrote: No where in the bible does it say that those books were to be compiled together.

Which book of scripture says that it must be compiled with any other book? It was just for ease and access the scriptures were compiled. In olden times, scripture was recorded in scroll form. Thanks to the "page" concept, books as we know them allowed written material to be compiled and bound.
The Torah of Moses was written (and compiled) long after Moses' time, during the Exile in Babylon. Those are five separate books. Where in Genesis does it say it should be part of a five-book series? What is so wrong with putting the Book of Isaiah within a compilation with Genesis? Does that lessen the worth of either book? Or make it less inspired?

AdamB wrote: not the books that they pick and choose to put in the "Bible"

Somebody had to "pick and choose" what to put in the Torah, my ignorant friend... and they weren't Muslim either. The Book of Genesis was originally FOUR different writings that were compiled when the Torah was being put together.
What is SO WRONG with Christians choosing what to compile as what they consider scripture? The Jews did it... so did some bunch of Muslims in the early days of Islam (and they burnt what they rejected, not so?)
Lighten up.

So the pope on twitter now. Anybody adding him?

Pope Benedict XVI has sent his first much-anticipated Twitter message using his personal account.
Alan Johnston BBC News, Rome

The Pope was shown pressing a button on an iPad tablet at the Vatican. The message read: "Dear friends, I am pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter. Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart."

A spokesman said earlier the pontiff would "reach out to everyone" with accounts in eight languages. After his introductory tweet on Wednesday, Benedict posted two follow-up messages.

This venture into the Twittersphere is meant to reflect the Vatican's commitment to being part of the debate in cyberspace.

People are being asked to put questions to the Pope. And among those already posted, some are funny, and many others crude or silly. But some are sincere.

As one Vatican insider put: "The Pope's job description is to spread the word, and Twitter is a good way of doing that." And being limited to the use of just 140 characters should not be too much of a hindrance. The Christian message has often been at its most powerful when it's been at its most succinct. Think of the Ten Commandments; "Thou shalt not kill" - just 16 characters.

They focused on promoting the Church's recently launched Year of Faith - an initiative intended to re-energise Catholicism. "How can we celebrate the Year of Faith better in our daily lives?" the pontiff asked. And he answered: "By speaking with Jesus in prayer, listening to what he tells you in the Gospel and looking for him in those in need." Benedict's English account already has more than 700,000 followers and is growing fast.

So far, the Pope's accounts @pontifex - which mean "pontiff" or "builder of bridges" - are only following each other. Last year, the Pope sent his first tweet from a Vatican account to launch the Holy See's news information portal.

The leader of the world's 1.2 billion or so Roman Catholics is expected to sign off, rather than write, each individual tweet himself. The Pope's tweets are also expected to highlight messages from his weekly general audience, Sunday blessings and homilies on key Church holidays as well as papal reaction to world events.

The Vatican has long shown interest in using the latest communications technologies to spread the faith with the inventor of radio, Guglielmo Marconi, setting up Vatican Radio in 1931.

Vatican media advisor Greg Burke explains what the Pope's Twitter handle means

The Catholic Church also already uses several social media platforms, including text messages and YouTube, to communicate with young people. Papal aides say the pontiff himself still prefers to communicate in longhand rather than using a computer keyboard.

Pope Benedict's six-year papacy has been bedevilled by poor communications. Embarrassing clarifications had to be issued over such thorny issues as his 2005 speech about Islam and violence, and his stance on condoms and HIV.

from your question you seem to think death is something horrible and that you should try every thing under the sun to prevent it,

thats not how it is,
islam teaches us every soul was created for the afterlife, to get there there is the test of this life, death is the transition from this life to the other,
based on how you did in this test , decides where you go in the other life, there are 2 places,
the requirements are different for different people
also men were all created with free will, to be able to do whatever they want

children who die before a certain age of responsibility go one place
ppl who live there whole lives and did not follow the one God's orders as stated in the quran go one place
ppl who lived there whole lives and did some of what they had to do but had firm faith may go one place for a period of time before they go another
ppl who had a short period of life like in the example above would not be judged with the same scoresheet as one who had 50 years to do it, it is in my belief that the requirements would be substantially different for such people

but there is no way to understand this fully and for us to be able to judge accurately who goes where,
thats why Allah attributes himself as the most just and the most merciful and mentions it countless times in the quran
and thats why muslims would spend hours and hours in worship and not after worldly goodies, because the latter doesnt score points as is clearly outlined,

this is the muslim explanation as per the quran, the verses leading to this can clearly referenced

you say they go to "one place"

is this a good place or bad place? along the lines of heaven or along the lines of hell?

What's your proof? Your New Testament NAPKIN?? Who wrote it and WHAT IS THE PROOF THAT IT WAS DIVINELY INSPIRED?

WAS IT BECAUSE PAUL WROTE IT? REALLY, THAT'S USELESS!! WHAT HE WROTE IS WHAT HAS YOU IN MISGUIDANCE. MAY THE ONE TRUE GOD GUIDE YOU TO THE TRUTH.
