Which brand/model you have? Was considering getting a pair to run dual sli but then i saw the GTX 465 selling for abt the same price and is 3 way sli compatible (have three 3 way sli system boards nah :D).

The normal 1GB 460GTX from eVGA. Was thinking of the SC madness but this is great! I got fedup of 2 year warranty n opted for lifetime. (noted on eVGA's with last code AR for the others who didnt know)

TBH if u can get on newegg? and have family up in the states.. PFTT!! 465! you can get those at around 188usd with rebates. Not sure if it's still on.

OR you can wait for the next rumoured gf104 :D

i was looking at the other 460GTX's there is one with a removable fan...

Guys, how d HELL ulyuh does clean (if u all keep those cards as long u tend to get some dust) the fan? I was watching for the 9800GTX+ and i need to scrap it down n if im doing that i have to get thermal pads.

nice PSU.

i got the SliverStone 1500W
http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?na ... y&reid=175

Sweet PSU have a benchmarking program that max out your PSU and when i had some 480's i got over 1900watts with this PSU. had a set up with 3 480 EVGA hydro Copper edition but sold the cards on ebay, for my darling 5970 that's unstoppable.

the 400 series GPU was release after the ATI 5000 series so off course they will be better, ATI 6000 series GPU will be releasing soon and they are going to be made with 28nm chips which will be the most fastest card it have, then Nivida will release a faster card and it will go on like this over and over again.

I have build alot of gaming rigs in the past year with some serious high end parts most of my customers who want a single fast card i give them a single 480 SC and they are happy with that. for ppl who wants to go to the extreme level i give them 5970's in Quad Crossfire and they are happy. if you have LN2 you can push your hardware to any limit on till you hear bang bang the capacitors burning lol.

In this upcoming month i will be getting some LN2 and going to try for 5.5Ghzs+ on my 980X and going to push my 5970 to 1200/1390 each it was done already. Now many of you will be saying sheit why waste all of that money but you have to know what you are doing.

i have spend alot of money over the past 3 months on my rig and as time goes i keep upgrading , my next upgrade will be dual CPU, have to run that new EVGA mainboard lol. i am glad to see it have so many ppl who likes this stuff.

I am also going to be ruining 3 monitors soon so we will see how that goes when the time reach.

One more important thing.
AMD Phenom II Overclocked to 6.5GHzthe AMD 965 was OC to over 7Ghzs earlier this year. just letting you know, intel i7 980X hit 8.1Ghzs.

firstchoicett with such high over clocks in real world applications would these systems even be usable lets say in your case i have seen some of your vids your last build really put the caribbean on the mark cheers to that but how about efficiency lets say i call you to sweat would that rig or any of these clocked beast run for hrs on end

Factors to consider humidity ( could be room temps, no ac etc etc etc)

I have my beast oc but withing stable range of cooling and performance who need 4+ghz for call of duty if you feel me

Once is a good Mother Board and you keep the CPU cooled and well you have a good casing you should not have a problem.

ASUS all the way, XFX still fails when compared to ASUS in terms of reliability over the years.

Also a good cooler master case with some 200MM Fans will produce enough wind to dry any humidity that will build up on the cards hell the heat from those components should dry it up.

You should also Air Condition your room. Coldness will lengthen the lifespan of all your components especially the Monitor and PSU.

Even with Ac most OC know that temperatures must be just about equal so as not to form condensation.

Like in my case lets say the days i about 32 typical trini weather if am about to do an OC or benchmark i usually drop the ac to about 22 remember the goal is not freezing or cold but cool then after some tweaks to my fan controllers to get the correct amount of airflow cool breeze passing tru the case then i start with my test only raising the controller as the temperatures climb i say every 5degress or so

What i basically end up with is hitting at lease 4.0ghz air cooled on my phenom at about 55-65 i usually idle at 38 min load at 44.

No ac days its about 5degress more.

Yeah but once you have it on the AC removes most humidity so your case won't have any condensation.

I have a 12,000 BTU split ac in a 8x10 office here and it can easily reach 17 degrees yet I don't have any issue of condensation when I turn it off for a rest.

What I have an issue with is when you turn it on it blows cold air directly on my 23" samsung monitor and sometimes you can feel the lcd kinda wet.

I does always have to remember to press the swing button

Tiles is better than carpet cause it absorbs a lot of humidity when it gets cold. Sadly I have carpet but I prefer it cause putting ur bare foot on cold @ss tiles is the worst experience in the world.

lol my temps range from 24-33 and my AC does be on 23C thats on full load when my AC is off temps does be like 7-10 C more i have some koolances fans on my tower these are not the normal 120MM fans that you will pick up on amazon or newegg. i have been testing fans for some while and these fans are very powerful with a CFM.
Now done finish sweating some Metro only games that i enjoy my hardware with lol.

any plan tog et a next pump and rad for my GPU. also will be upgrading to 1'' tubing soon.

Asus FTW

All that and you still use a/c?

Don't have a/c and don't need/want any nah.

Usually when i bench i do it late at night with the windows open, the nights are cold enough these days. Sometimes just to see how well my air/liquid coolers cool enough i bench during the afternoon when it's the hottest outside.

^ AMD has 12 core Opteron CPU right now.

Bulldozer will be vastly superior to intel's Hyper Threading. So the 8 core bulldozer will do 16 threads at a time but it will be much faster as intel's HT is inefficient. Since the dual core atom is 4 threads yet vastly inferior to a low powered ULV core 2 duo with 2 threads.

only amd has 8 and 12 core presently, and those opterons can only perform for servers, amd likes to keep opteron clocks nice and low

^ ASUS is the best. Its funny how people think that EVGA classified is this great mother board when in reality its not.

Sure it can do amazing things but its lifespan is nothing compared to ASUS.

ASUS is like SONY of the 90's their stuff just built to last and last and last.
