WOW, one or two maybe maybe came on a rock from by him or even the eggs. remember as he brings coral sometimes they may have stuff on it. I have never seen any in my tank though. I guess you may have to buy meds to wash corals first prior to adding in your tank

Ok
You will tell me how the sand sifter works out in your tank.
To me that's the devil in disguise. Good luck with him in your reef tank.

I must look for the article on one of the reef sites.

Honda what brand is that RODI unit Raj selling for $3500, is it any good? BRS cancelled my order for some weird reason so I still need to get one.

The brand is Chanitex. Is that $3500 with pump, the separate DI canister and the TDS meter? I Have never had a single problem with it over the 4 years I have had it. NONE.
It works great. All I use it for is my 2 tanks and that's it.

He said it's the complete package but I didn't get chance to go check him yet. He said the pump and the di canister which makes it 5 stage. I'm not sure about the tds meter but does yours have a flush for the membrane ?

it automatically flushes for itself. As you start it, it flushes and I forgot every how much gallons it flushes again.
The life of your membranes depends on your cleanliness of your water going in the RO unit. You can buy one of those pre filters at any hardware and connect it just before the unit. That way you filters will last. And the cheap filters before can be replaced easily at a cheaper cost. The only thing you use up is your DI resin but that all depends on how much water you making.

i started off with a biocube 29 gal. This year would make it 3 years.
but it was too much maintenance for the size and the amount of coral/livestock I wanted

The pics that are shown all the rocks were removed and redone about a year ago because GSP and xenia had taken over all the rocks.

I have 75gallons in total, 3 tanks all linked to 1 sump
one tank inside the house and 2 outside the house in my garage. The sump with all the pumps and stuff is outside in the garage.
Water changes are easy, and I do not have to do anything for the inside house tank, just wipe the glass.

^ in the simplest form

youtube the rest, and do lots of reading

when you're ready, give it a try.

and when you do, try with the cheapest corals and fishes.

Im not into that coral life just yet... I hardly have time as is to maintain my fowlr system... but id like to have some more aggressive fish, lion fish, grouper, puffer etc... id like it all tied in to 1 sump so as to simplify maintenance

so, while moving my anemone about 2 weeks ago, i tore it in half, it went into the powerhead and while pulling it out, tore into 2 pieces

now i have 2 live anemones, in separate tanks and doing well.

never knew you could do that...

I booked last week and cancelled yesterday. That week I have some Microsoft training... real sad vibes. If I knew I would've gone reef a palooza instead this year.
You heading up?
