I say August also
Rowley doesn't feel threatened by opposition forces at the moment. Imagine COP raise from the grave, slip and fall back in it.
He has 8 months remaining in his term so "snap" elections don't make any sense. I believe that after mid-year budget review, (generally held between April and June), he'll give the date and then is pace.

UNC ANNOUNCES LA HORQUETTA / TALPARO CANDIDATE FOR THE 2025 GENERAL ELECTIONS
The UNC announces Phillip Watts as its candidate for the marginal seat of La Horquetta / Talparo in the upcoming 2025 General Elections. We are confident that Mr. Watts will finally provide constituents with real representation and progress, which the incumbent has so conspicuously failed to do.
A bio of Philip is attached for further information.
The UNC extends congratulations to Mr. Watts, and also to all those who submitted nominations and were screened.
The UNC appreciates every member who has come forward and offered themselves for service. There is a place and role for all.
As we approach these crucial General Elections, the party continues its screening process and party mobilisation.
The UNC stands ready to Save Trinidad and Tobago from the Decade of Destruction under Keith Rowley, Stuart Young and the PNM.

So April may be elections.

Is this the same constitution that allows the PM to have the election date in his back pocket? Remember Manning called a snap electionalfa wrote:death365 wrote:So the talk is now tha

Don't they need to give a 3 month notice for elections beforehand according to the constitution?
No it doesn't, if parliament is dissolved ( end of 5 years) Then election must take place within 90 days of that date, however the PM can call an election and only give 35 days notice. So legally they can go as late as November 28th or maybe an earlier 28th lolalfa wrote:death365 wrote:So the talk is now tha
