Efficiency wise yes, but in trinidad supply and demand laws don't apply. They will bring the less efficient 220V unit because it selling and more efficient 110V unit cuz it don't sell.pugboy wrote:in theory from ohms law
less energy is wasted in the copper coils of motor due to resistance heating as its half the amount of current passing in the motor windings
so for the same kilowatts consumed more goes towards cooling than being wasted as heat in the motor windingsnervewrecker wrote:Kilowatt is kilowatt.pugboy wrote:not sure, but generally higher voltage units are slightly more efficient than lower voltage
because they pull less current.
the 36k inverter i bought and buying another are 19 seer which is apparently very high rating.Dave wrote:Would the seer be the same with the same btu but different voltage?
Higher voltage use less current.
Lower voltage uses more current.
Your bill is based on watts, not amps / current.

Did you pay for the warranty on the previously purchased unit? If yes which coverage did you opt for?pugboy wrote:i bought another of the courts 36k sale

What was the cost of the unit back then and what brand?matix wrote:Jerry84 wrote:Anyone here have personal experience with multi zone units?

Have a 4 unit which was done by Servair about 8 years ago. Good so far except when something goes wrong with the condenser, all rooms are affected

Those 4 units....what output (btu) are they rated at?matix wrote:Jerry84 wrote:What was the cost of the unit back then and what brand?matix wrote:Jerry84 wrote:Anyone here have personal experience with multi zone units?

I think it’s around 12000 btu. When I go by the property I’ll get some pictures.

Saw a couple reviews here that fairly positive, they have sale and they have the super warranty as an option which means I can get a 4+ years of full replacement warranty on an inverter system for the price of a start/stop unit
Bosse wrote:Saw the TCL 36000btu also and its at a very Good price and was thinking of buying one also to replace a Comfee one I have for more than 15yrs.
Pugboy, what is the noise level like and how is the cooling capacity on the 2 you bought?
Did you use their installation service?pugboy wrote:them tcl real quiet and cooling real good
very little vibration
if i put my hand on the wall bracket the compressor mounted on, you barely feel any vibration
the 36k is 19seer
if you stand 4-5ft away from the compressor fan you can feel the heat it throwing off
which means it coolingBosse wrote:Saw the TCL 36000btu also and its at a very Good price and was thinking of buying one also to replace a Comfee one I have for more than 15yrs.
