i remember ah rainy night 2 yrs ago wit heavy white rain on CRH east bound i had to pull aside for a few mins couldn't see a damn ting

^^^ might've been a night or two after elections in 2010...I remember that night. Up east rarely rains heavy like that.
Imagine rain so heavy it sounds like hail on your car, and you're sitting at Bon Air/PBR traffic light and can't see the other side of the intersection.

Rain was terrible this morning at 4am...a Hilux had suddenly appeared facing south on the northbound and speed past me before running off onto the shoulder. Have not a clue where he came from; I figure he was a median crosser. Slow the fack down people.

that was a serious piece of rain yesterday on the highway around 4pm yes.
There was NO traffic (thanks Joe) but had to slow down to 40km/h....could've barely seen..
