We get your opinion an everythin but the man has taken on a similar situation as regards to sticker number plates an came out on top, it very much the same as the law as regards to number plates are left up to the individual officer's interpretation, an had no clear definition of what a plate shud be. Same applies here, but its the effort from him that is appreciated more than the indiviual outcome. Sayin the man will lose from the get go is jus an ignorant "i give up" attitude

AP. Do you post here simply because you just like to impress yourself ?

How can you say what I have premised my argument on when I have not even presented my argument yet ? So take a chill pill, relax, resist the urge to respond to this message and wait for the information, digest it, research your response, check it for the idot reflex action in all of us, then, only if you have something meaningful to add then respond. If you follow that process we probably will never hear from you again.

But nevertheless, please don't hijack this post. This is not about you, its about the law and you/us.

Somehow I don't think AP can grasp the concept. It's always about proving something.

Great job Mr Gear. Looking forward to the results.

Far from it. It's called being a devil's advocate.

Mr. Gear wrote:How can you say what I have premised my argument on when I have not even presented my argument yet ?

Read your below words, slowly:

Mr Gear wrote:Yes folks, your not so friendly citizen's advocate is set to throw down against the Commissioner of Police and the Transport Commissioner this Thursday over their misinterpretation of the laws governing tint.

That's your stance sir. Misinterpretation of the laws. Misinterpretation of how the law should be treated and applied.

And on what basis?

Mr. Gear wrote:The majority of Private Motor Vehicles are immune from the so called tint laws...stay tuned.

Obscured laws being applied to most but not all.

Mr. Gear wrote:So take a chill pill, relax, resist the urge to respond to this message and wait for the information, digest it, research your response, check it for the idot reflex action in all of us, then, only if you have something meaningful to add then respond. Learn to follow your own advice.

FACT: You are of the opinion that what is applied to most should be applied to all.

FACT: That is a matter of interpretation of what the law is.

FACT: Simply because you do not share the interpretation of others does not make their interpretation a misintepretation.

FACT: The law is to be interpreted. In other words, two individuals can look at the same law, grasp two separate understanding of the law and still be protected by that law to enforce that law.

FACT: I wish you much success in your mission.

FACT: I will remain in this thread and post whenever and wherever I feel the need.

But should we be punished for their interpretation of the law?

Have you not entrusted them with the powers to enforce the law?

You live in a democracy. If you do not favor the way in which the law is applied, vote into power someone who shares your opinion.

Though, keep in mind, not all citizens can and will ever be pleased.

OK. Heads up. This has nothing to do with anyone's opinion on what is too dark or any scientific approach to tint shade examination.

Mr Gear, For your next project (if I may humbly suggest) take them to court for using public funds to repair and maintain a private road which does not contribute to the country's earnings or pay for itself, yet can be the key to end east west conjestion. You go brutha!!

Another clue to this tint issue. Get a copy of the Finance Bill 1993. (Road Improvement Tax.)

Oh i see, i was under the impression that you have to be proven guilty, before punishment could be administered.

He has not yet presented his case, in which he finds that the law has been misinterpreted.
The law can be misinterpreted to such a degree that it is actually broken. If this is so, then Mr. Gear has a very valid point. It is a bit presumptuous of you to analyze his intent without actually knowing what it is.

Misinterpretation to the point of ignorance is not legally recognized.

Nebert, I have obtained PDF copies of most of the legislation aforementioned. I will peruse tonight and return for a discussion and/or debate. Don't be surprised if no other tuner comes prepared. At least I will be. I look forward to the discussion and dissemination of information that is there to empower the citizens.

Exactly. I am putting pen to paper now so I will put it up when I'm finished. In the mean time, it is critical that you get the legislation to be able to smoothly follow the dexterity of my arguments.

LOL
