Rooney faces max 4 weeks out with sprained ankle, no Rooney for Chelsea this weekend nor the return leg against Bayern next Wednesday.

Still hoping that ManU can put the hurting on Chelsea this weekend and make a game out of it next Wednesday as they await Rooney's return.

So who do you all think/expect to play against Bayern now?

Nani seems to be a surety...Valencia more than likely as well...typical back 4 with Carrick and Fletch in front more than likely...
Berba or Macheda? or both instead of a 5 man midfield?

The Berba & Macheda starting idea isn't a good one methinks....need some balance if Valencia and Nani will start...one of those two up front with either of Park/Giggs/Scholes

I think playing Park just off the striker is not gonna work against Bayern, it worked well against L'pool and Milan but he is not consistent enough...his pace and workrate could be well needed on the wing, he is too lightweight to be played in the middle against a muscular side like Bayern, look how he got pushed aside in today's game...

facking Carrick, I only wish Hargreaves didn't have knees made of out styrofoam...

a midfield of Nani, Valencia, Fletcher, Giggs and Carrick with Giggsy offering support to Berba...

Park? dat mofo play like ah flicking novice. dey man eh run at all. the only place he coulda find was between 4 chelsea players. he eh try boi!!! No ghost runs nutting!!! i could shoot dat damn korean... I dunno if Fergie was giving Nani a rest or what....but he shoulda start Nani on the left and Valencia on the right. This bizness bout starting park eh go wuk...Soon as Nani come on we exerted a lil pressure..

I hear yuh Joker, cyah wait for Hargreaves to fall in...

Personally i prefer the BPL title to UCL title, but dat is just me...

I waiting to see the line up on Wednesday...

Having said all that......UNITED we stand. (who doh like it :fist: )

^Park did well in that position, but with Rooney ahead...Berba doesn't have the movement, pace or vision of Rooney to have effectively used Park's assets...

Giggs was the real dissapointment...Fergie must've started him instead for his experience, but having just returned from injury he seemed lacking alot...his movement was slow and his passing was horribly off...

Hargreaves isn't going to play a big part this year...he can only play in the EPL and isn't match fit at all...prolly a few sub appearances at most...same with O'Shea...

Nani's for sure...my guess would be Valencia on the other wing with Giggs instead of Park behind Berbatov...

There are rumours about Rooney...i highly doubt Fergie is gonna risk him, but just his presence on the bench will give Utd a massive lift in confidence...

I too lazy to google it right now but what happened to Obertan, Tosic and Diouf?

I think Tosic was either sold or loaned out. I guess Sir teaching them a lesson after the FA Cup flop?

^They need the confidence that there's someone they can rely on to score if they're in a sticky spot...

Obertan and Diouf back to the reserves...
Tosic on loan...
