Sky, your rights are your right. Even if you pay $1 for the phone it makes sense to argue for what you deserve. Only in Trinidad consumers doz get walkover. Is mentalities like that make it so.

Working on it, will update when / if TSTT actually complies.

Excerpt of TATT message below:

"In accordance with Concession Condition 21, TSTT must unlock the phone free of charge once the contract is expired:

C21. Where terminal equipment which has been locked or otherwise restricted so as
to access only the concessionaire’s network or service is supplied to a user, the
concessionaire shall, upon termination of the relevant user contract in
accordance with Condition C20, and free of charge, remove such lock or
restriction. The concessionaire shall not supply (whether directly or indirectly
through agents or other retail suppliers) terminal equipment which has been so
locked or restricted to any user who has not entered into a service contract with
the concessionaire in respect of such equipment.

Well after 6 weeks it's finally unlocked!!

Not without some resistance from TSTT but TATT was able to assist.
So all you iPhone owners who may be looking for an upgrade soon, keep in mind an unlocked handset with no Jail Breaking to worry about, would attract a higher resale value

Enjoy your unlocked handsets folks :)

Someone with a contract that expired might not have to time to bother to get tstt to unlock a fone that they might trow in a drawer and update to a unlocked one. Also most people even the ones who are looked upon to be stupid knows more about fones that the ones who feel the are smarter than anybody. But anyways nice heads up op.

So my iPhone 4s is out of contract and i went to bMobile to get my phone unlocked!
Two reps told me " they don't unlock phones out of contract" nor does digicel........So I had to call TATT to get some help with the matter!

bMobile rep called and took my IMEI# the next day and said i would get a followup call.......i am waiting patiently.
