why so much? they should be using the GPS system to locate all TTPS vehicle park up in somebody driveway/bar/outsidewomanhouse that is why they 'have no vehicles'

i know at least one vehicle that does be park up on the same street as me in Cleaver Heights Arima almost every night & weekends too.. not sayin anyting more i eh know if d driver on tuner

pete wrote:It is a public tender opening but all they will read out is the figures quoted. The specifications of the vehicles proposed will be in the tender package that goes to be reviewed at a later time.

Why should this be up for public review before it's awarded?

Also, 7 different companies may be awarded the tender for each item so it's not necessarily one huge tender

:poke:

so all TTPS vehicles is just a case of keep throwing good money behind bad.
vehicles that are damaged / need maintenance / missing................. doh bother with that just buy more, and keep spending.
it eh like they ever have to account for it right.

are there not specially designed vehicles for these jobs by major companies? A simple google search turned up these-

http://www.gmfleet.com/specialty-vehicl ... 20vehicles

http://www.fleet.ford.com/showroom/police-vehicles/

I'm sure they are going to buy civilian based vehicles and attempt to retrofit them locally. This may be because someone here already has the contract, which is going to be over paid for, and the same for the retrofit guys.

I did a little research on the vehicles being factory modified for the police force, they may be much cheaper than a civilian car.

Lol
This whole system so corrupt....

It have some taskforce up on my side...
Using the new xtrail (PCW) to make carparts run for he mech...
Full security too...
Cuz is 3 other fully armed officers rolling with him...
Plus they duz wreck these things like is toys...
Always have a crash navarra/everest/holden

And the navarras always by the doubles man...

But when my brethren and dem get rob...and his pops got shot....
They take 2 hrs to reach....
Cuz they "didnt have a vehicle"

it'll reduce by a fair amount im sure, barred off, fixed rear windows and redone rear seating with plywood covered only by paint.

btw why are T+TEC vehicles ordered without AC, yet still other utilites and other government organisations well equipped with auto and leather seats etc?

well it happens everytime regardless of whos in power, companies are formed and all of a sudden get all the big contracts for a certain government, when that govt loses power, the same company goes quiet and you dont haer anything from them, but as the previous govt gets back into power- Voila- the same company rises up from the dead and starts back getting big govt contracts.

So whos the Owner of this said mentioned Elite auto whatever....?

So what do you think those old model cars the dealers are shipping in for? Corruption and lack of common sense ftw. I say set a stand and use that model for ten yrs after that update, as for undercover cars just use seized cars from customs.

Look they had another tender awarded before.

I don't see the big deal at all, y'all don't want anything new to be purchased? You want them to say "200 vehicles in the police service purchased in 1990 need to be replaced and this tender is to replace those and add to existing fleets" for it to be justified?

And look, tender for 3 firetrucks awarded. http://www.finance.gov.tt/content/CTB%2 ... 202013.pdf
Cost for each $3.8 Million
