Fun wikipedia fact: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plumbing

The word "plumbing" comes from the Latin plumbum for lead, as pipes were once made from lead.

If as stated here carbon infused fittings would resist UV rays better . Why do we not have grey pvc pipes, for those uses that see sunlight for more than 8 hours per day .

White pvc pipe seems to last for some time usually more than 15 years or more like 25.

Do we need similarly "carbon infused" pvc pipes may offer better UV protection ?

Most of our pvc is schedule 40 pipe supplied by century eslon . Do we have alternative sources or different pvc pipes available here or do we need ? After all Schedule 40 pvc is rated at a some high max pressures , 6 inch is about 90 psi and 1/4 is about 390 psi.
