Renewal at chaguanas yesterday
Collection in 3 to 6 weeks

Except 2 to 3 hours
Front desk officers not doing job properly.
Because they approving pictures and other documents required
But you reach issuing officer; they telling you it not good and come back

Based on feedback from friends:
Point fortin: 2 weeks ( 1st time machine readable)
Pos for renewal of machine readable: 6 weeks

Reach Grande office by 5:45am and you out by 7...
6 weeks is the normal weight for the MRPs

Chaguanas experience on the 14th wasn't really bad.
I got their at about 7.30 am with another family member and we were both out of there by about 9.20am.
I was the major keep back since 'for hell' signature just kept bearly touching perimeter line in them small boxes.
We were advised 4-6 weeks on delivery of new PP.

I did my renewal at Chaguanas last year. THe lady advised me to have my picture taken there and not bother with the photo I had brought in as if it had an error would take an additional 4 weeks. They didn't advise the same when you went?

No they didnt. I never new this. Thanks

I have found that preparing myself to visit any normally difficult govt service office must include a lecture to myself to;
--Smile and anything they say which might irritate me must be greeted with a polite smile and gracious request for their valued advice on the way forward (even if I grinding inside).Remember you only have to deal with this reality once in a blue moon.
Generally, with this approach I find myself in a good frame of mind and almost always get truly good service.
BTW,I walk with everything but the kitchen sink in my bag and often surprise them when they move the documents reqd goalpost,I just happen to have what they need.
Hope this bit of learned behavior helps.

Just to be prepared I made copies of I.D, Birth certificate and passport. Yeah you still have to carry passport photo, make sure it is taken out using white background.
