Miatas don't need boost. They're light weight, low-power, handling machines. Mazda gives a good platform and if buyers want boost they can modify after.... It's always been like that even now in the 4th gen. When last you heard reviewers raving over a car with 155hp?

Imagine it with 200hp. Could only get better with a turbo imo.

But I understand where you're coming from.

I used to think the same but you should go drag and wind and see a Miata keep up with an evo X and even beat it. It really doesn't necessarily need the extra power depending on the course. Highway high speed run yeah but anywhere else like maracas and it would have you smiling.

True, it's a driver's car after all.
Is it available at southern sales? Will they sell the 1.5 or the 2.0?

JDM is only 1.5 thus far ... If it ever came to the firm it would be that displacement.

Maybe Mazda will :|

There's already a turbocharged 'mazdaspeed' variant of the Miata.
