x2 not for a first time car.

OP go with what you feel comfortable with. if you can get a decent Roro with your money best you buy it because it will carry you longer than buying a second hand car.

My personal preference is toyota because of ride quality but they are more expensive to maintain. Nissan is good if you worried about maintenance costs and looking for something cheaper to roll with. Just make sure to buy something you will like driving because you will have it for a while

I am going to buy my daughter her first car.

She really likes the 2006-11 Honda Civic and early 2000s Subaru Forester or Impreza.

She does not like the Bluebird Sylphy, AD, Wingroad, NZE and others.

She's more leaning towards an Impreza.

Excellent choice with the civic.

Lil pricey especially if you doing oem maintenance, but great choice.

Don’t forget dash cams and gps.

Safe driving to her.

FA/FD parts available like that, whether it be USDM or F/U, and it's not an "old car" so you'll get some support for the foreseeable future. The Subaru with the awd (assuming it's not a fwd Impreza) just opens up more problems with more moving parts etc. Also, I'll quicker bank on Honda reliability in general compared to Subaru.

Nze et al are also becoming problematic.

Subaru parts actually cheaper than Nissan. Price some parts at motorist. If you deal with Subaru specific places you get parts like AWD motorsports, motorist and Aditi.
What I have found is that parts for the WRX and STI are easier to find locally but all parts are readily available online for all models at 1/3 the cost at the dealership.
Every vehicle Subaru ever manufactured has the vehicle listed on their site where you put in your vin # and get a parts list with respective numbers down to every nut, bolt and washer. Subaru however is not what it used to be like most brands. They stopped being overbuilt at the Hawkeye.

I have a cousin write off 3 Subaru, each time he walk out without a scratch. In fact he was so drunk in one instance he went through a wall with one, capsize down a hill, stumble out and took a taxi home. They were all ts models and the TS has the same body as the WRX. The vehicle I feel safest behind the steering of is my Subaru. Wet road, dry road, grass, wet grass, gravel, red mud road, mud, I don't care, I driving. I drive the same way in heavy rain like I do on the dry road, no issues with hydroplaning or loosing grip. Respect the car and it respects you, don't try the impossible with it or that's between you and God. Nothing will traumatize you like it will and it's the cars way of telling you respect it because it can't defy the laws of physics although you feel like it can.

too much cars on the road. raise the age to 25 and have them do an idiot test to make sure them is not idiots as most drivers are.

I can see why you feel safest behind the wheel of your WRX TS. It's famous for its performance and reliability. With its all-wheel drive and strong build, it offers great stability and control in any conditions.

I approve of this car for sure

With such stupid, short sighted opinions, you should be a politician.

I agree with you. I don't see a correlation between age and the number of cars on the road like what's the reasoning here

Unless we have a reliable public transpory system, people will have no choice but to buy cars once they can afford it

Idk the person budget or choice if is a girl especially I like the 2015 corolla. Have a lot on the road and not much you have to do it make it look good. Just a decent set of broad tyres and I think you set.
It's a comfortable car and small.
Another option that is overlooked is the aqua. Engine bay being a pain with the layout is it's only drawback but its doable.
Either cars maintained by doctor striver and you will have no regrets. The doc also works on hybrids and owns a Subaru so even the Subaru is a choice.
Can look up Striver's auto garage on FB and be the judge if you don't believe me.

Depending on the budget, I'd go with the corolla. The older model aquas have a serious fan/overheating/ radiator problem. I've seen at least 6 in the garage of my electrician for either of those problems.

These single electric fan vehicles are prone to that problem. It's carbon buildup in the stator preventing the brushes from making contact with the contacts on the rotor. They are permanent magnet motors.
If one knows what they doing it can be opened and serviced. If not, foreign used fans cheap.

Thank God my motor can open up and service. The quality of brushes I have never seen generate that amount of dust.
